1999 Grumman Olson step van bread truck / dwelling unit for sale, functionally built out and adaptable to any use. Ready to live in, take on the road or operate a business out of. This is a rare find mechanically, with the classic '90s Grumman aluminum rustproof body on a Freightliner MT35 chassis powered by a 3.9 L4 Cummins Diesel - both highly regarded and dependable, and seldom seen as a package. Manual transmission. The box is 18' long by 7' wide x 7' tall; overall vehicle length 26'. 265k total miles, almost entirely from the original owner while fleet maintained and garage kept (low for a diesel work truck), and completely overhauled in 2015 (new engine, transmission, brakes, steering, tires) with less than 15k miles added since - practically new. Engine rebuild by Jasper, to OEM specs with upgraded parts and seals. Frame is rust-free, in excellent condition. Professional buildout designed and performed by an architect and carpenter in 2018: Rear box sealed off from cab with insulated wall and latching door. Removed and replaced rear rollup door with custom fabricated 270 degree full-outswing insulated aluminum security doors, with double glazed window units. Installed two double glazed thermal skylights on aluminum curbs. Installed closed cell spray foam insulation at floor, roof and all sides; R-13. Solid tongue and groove maple cladding over plywood decking at floor, roof and all sides. Integrated with the cladding are full length built-in infrastructure channels for future electrical and lighting (or any other purpose required). A Dwarf wood stove with insulated waterproof chimney (roof extension detaches for driving) provides instant and ample heat in winter, properly installed with a noncombustible hearth and wall protection. Also included is a small kitchenette with shelving, storage and counter. Interior is clean, tight and daylit. Doors can be swung fully open to disappear and bring the outside in, and the main skylight is operable for ventilation.
