Meet Ruby Tuesday, a 2001 Chevy Express 3500. The van was owned by a mechanic who transformed it into a camper van. He rebuilt the engine himself at 178,000 miles. It still runs perfectly. He also added a new $4,000 transmission with a 3 year/100,000-mile warranty, for which the 3 years have expired last summer. After he sold the van in 2020 at around 189,000 miles, new tires, shocks, alignment, brakes, a fuel pump, power steering, break pump, a windshield with warranty, and rear differential were added. The van made it all across the USA and Canada until I bought it in July 2023. I’ve been living in it full-time during my senior year at school and have added a new AC compressor, crankshaft position sensor, shocks, frequent professional oil changes, and plenty of more storage (food pantry, closet). I’m selling it because I will be moving to Europe. Please see below for all the amenities the van offers. The van needs a new paint job, but it does not leak or burn oil.
