Seller's Description
OVERVIEW: Spartan tiny home on wheels built for living off grid. Huge solar/battery setup, 12v fridge/freezer, 30 gallon fresh and gray tanks, tons of storage space, full size bed fits a standard mattress, heat pump/air conditioner in the back, and a shower. Some parts of the build are unfinished so work could be done to improve the look, but the vehicle is 100% livable and functional. I've stayed off the grid on BLM land in this thing for a month at a time without running out of power or water with only electric appliances to cook and while running my gaming laptop. The truck is also low-key enough to do urban camping in many areas. I got one knock during 5 months of urban camping in several California cities. FEATURES: -760 watts of solar with space for more -7,200 watt hour (600 ah) of 12v deep cycle AGM battery capacity - for reference a Battleborn is 1,000 watt hours, and a Powerwall is 13,000 watt hours. -3000 watt inverter - 4 gallon electric water heater -Toaster, microwave, electric stove -30 gallons fresh and gray tank -Sink and (unfinished) shower -12v vent fan on the roof -Insulated with wool. Keeps the temperature manageable in the summer if you use the fan. -Can accept campsite hookups (120v 15a power, freshwater hose, greywater dump with included sewer hose) -Composting bucket toilet (not fancy, but practical) -55 liter fridge/freezer combo -Skylight and 3 windows cut in the truck. Currently 2 have stealth patches on in the picture. -Nice looking wooden barn doors replaced the standard overhead box truck door. Lockable from the inside. -Lockable cutaway to the front cab -9000 BTU electric heat pump (heating and cooling) - can run off grid for a few hours a day, but better to be connected to 120v -Backup propane heater -Backup camera -Dinette that converts to a (slightly janky) twin bed -Sleeps 2 comfortably, 3 in a pinch. -Full size standard mattress over the cab -Way more storage space than any van camper, for example: space for 2 bikes inside the van. -New LED headlights -23' total length with ~15’ box; fits in a standard parking space with a little handwaving. -Truck is in good condition for its age, if a bit ugly. Passes smog easily if you warm up the engine. -Roughly 10 MPG highway. -I'm told that the box could be separated from the truck and moved to another truck bed in the event of a major breakdown. I have parts for a recirculating shower as well - which is a luxury off grid, but also high maintenance. Disassembled for cleaning and not sure if you'll want them. Selling because I'm living in a house now, I wanted to focus on my career. MAINTENANCE/ISSUES: -Oil changed 2,000 miles ago -New rear tires, windshield, headlights, wipers -Had a rough shift from first to second when I bought it 2 years ago; drain/filled the transmission fluid and had no issues since. -Power steering weakens after a long drive. Only noticeable when trying to parallel park. -Minor oil leak. No noticeable impact on oil levels over my 2 year ownership. -Shower is unfinished - what you see on the walls in the photo is concrete from the floor. Ideally you'd put another material on top to finish it. Usable as is, just ugly. $9,750 for the month of May only, price will go back above 10k for the summer as it's inconvenient for me to sell it then.
