If you're in Arizona, you can take her for a spin. Bought in April 2023 from Florida Van Life, St. Petersburg, FL. She runs nice. I named her Chloe after the first mechanic who changed her oil. You can find the human Chloe somewhere in Pensacola. She's a star! 🤩 Why am I selling? I am a travel writer and relocated from overseas last March. My big plan was to buy a campervan and make the rounds around the U.S. to visit family and friends and see the sights. I picked Chloe up last April in St. Petersburg, and we drove around the country for 7,000 miles - from Florida to Illinois to Arizona with lots of stops in between. It was a glorious summer of fun. But I realized, too, that I really don't need a campervan. Every place I visited had a couch or spare bedroom waiting for me. Hardly anyone would let me actually sleep in my van! And really, even when I stopped on my own, campgrounds had all the amenities I needed for short stays. So, reluctantly, I am selling her and opting for a smaller car that gets a little better gas mileage and doesn't require so much energy on my part. Vancamper life is fantastic! But it also can be tiring. I am going to travel a little easier this summer. 😊 Why the new engine and all the new stuff? Well, I am just going to be honest here. She started having a few mechanical issues somewhere between Missouri and Oklahoma, but luckily, when we arrived in Oklahoma - my home state - we were in good hands. First the thermostat went out. Then, the radiator showed signs of being plugged. So then, we started looking at the engine. I got the opinion of four mechanics. Three of them said it was fine and that it just needed some love. One of them yelled at me and said I either need a new engine or a new van. I took that last guy's red face to heart and told my mechanic to just get all the old stuff out and replace it with new. So, that's what we did. I didn't want any more issues. We've traveled a little more than 1,000 miles on the new engine. It's been fantastic. She runs quiet and smooth, but like I said above, as summer nears, I don't think I want to travel by van. Since we made it to Arizona, I've had to do one minor repair - replace a radiator hose. She does need a new speedometer cable. That is her newest squeal. I may have it fixed before you get her, but if not, they are like 15 bucks at O'Reilly's. Why should you make Chloe yours? Obviously, she is for a special person. You will get TONS of comments, so if you’re a private person, Chloe might not be for you. But she's cozy as heck. I'm going to miss her. I honestly slept so good on that mattress. She’s also very boho. Her exterior is house paint - and it's fading in the Arizona sun. 🤣 But I think that just gives her more character. She’s a little rough around the edges, sure, and her look is definitely an acquired taste, but we had a super fun last summer, and if she's the right new home for you, I have no doubt you will have some excellent travels, too. *Some photos courtesy of Florida Van Life VIN: 2B7HB21Y4TK172841 Clear title Price is firm.
