Seller's Description
Custom built, Baja tested (4 times), this is the perfect affordable Toyota self contained 4x4 camper… A tiny condo on wheels 😎 Built in 2017/2018 after a trip to the Baja where it was dreamt up, this camper combines the cult classic 1988 Toyota Sunrader with a 2007 Toyota Tundra (longbox)…. AKA the Tundrader. The conversion was done by a full-blown “Toyota nerd” friend of mine with a big metal fabrication and engineering background, and completed with the utmost care and diligence. All systems (electrical, propane) recently serviced by the same professionals that installed them, and we just got home from the 4th trip down the baja and replaced the rear bilsteins 3 weeks ago (see last photo). The truck itself hasn’t had many changes, with the exception of some beefed up leaf springs and (recently replaced) Bilstein suspension; its a 2007 Toyota Tundra that has been meticulously maintained, and we are only the 2nd owner. There are brand new Kumho tires, plus new front brakes (discs and rotors), and the back brakes were replaced last year. The camper itself is the original fiberglass shell and windows, but other than that the remainder of the interior of the camper is new. There is 200W of solar panels above the bed cab, with a 2200W samlex smart inverter, (brand new batteries installed Feb 2024), a natures head composting toilet, 2 burner propane stove, a norcold 6 cubic foot 3-way norcold fridge and freezer (with custom Jeremy Koreski image for sheath), indoor and outdoor showers, plus a hand-made corian countertop with undermounted sink and cover, just to name a few of the custom features. There is also a full size spare, and a large aluminum custom (removable) bumper storage box, as well as a custom fabricated tow-hitch that allows for enough weight for a dirtbike (I had a drz400). It was a great home to us for almost 3 years, and for the last 2.5 has been our occasional adventure pod, used between April-sept in Canada and then stored under cover until our annual baja trip in the winter. It is perfect for a single person with a pet, or a couple who can tolerate living in a small space together (we were a couple and 2 dogs but it was cozy). We love this camper and honestly will regret selling it we are sure, but we need to move onto our next adventure and think that this camper deserves to give someone else the joy we have had with her. We are back in Victoria BC, right across the water from Port Angeles, I have a beautiful guest suite I’d be happy to put you up in for a few days or a week if you’d like to pay a deposit on the rig, and then you could come out and have a look, and also have an excuse to have a sneaky lil vacation to Victoria BC. too! We are asking $ 46,000 OBO. Serious inquires only please. It is adventure ready and comes with plenty of extras that we are willing to include with it, some tools and camping necessities, as well as some extra parts and spare bonus bits for down the road. If you decided you wanted to view it but don’t want to come to Canada I could also take the ferry across to Port Ángeles for a small deposit to meet with you🫡 I’ve spoken to CBP and they say it’s a pretty straightforward process to import, and a 2.5% duty, so roughly $1000. They said as long as another ferry isn’t coming in shortly they should be able to get the process done within an hour or so. you can check out more images of the rig and scroll to the bottom for the build process on instagram by searching the handle @tundrader Cheers -Toni & Poe
