Featuring: - 1200 Watt Solar Array - 680ah Lithium Battery Bank from Bigbattery.com (10 year warranty) - Wind Fairing for Solar array (gas mileage ~14mpg) - 20 Gallon Water Tank - ~23 Gallons Greywater Under Van - Full Standup Shower with Ceramic Tiles, Custom Glass Cieling Tile Mosaic and Porcelain floor tiles - Vanity with Marble Countertop, Quiet Close Doors and 3 Subcounter Soap Pumps - Induction Stovetop - 12v Fridge with Freezer - Custom Oak Step into the Cabin - Easy Fold Up Chair and Table - Bed Platform that Sleeps 2 Comfortably - 14 LED Ceiling Lights on 2 dimmers - LED Strip Lights the Shower on Separate Dimmer - All lights on a Master Switch - New Transmission (replaced at 108,000) - Water Pump with Kill Switch (so the water doesn't turn itself on due to road vibration) - 12v Fresair Evaporative Cooling Air-conditioner - Diesel Powered Heater with Custom Made Quiet Pump - 2 Roof Vents 1 with a Fart Fan - Waxed and Removeable Electrical Box - Removeable Window Grates and Steel Collapsible Partition for Added Security - Extra Quiet Interior Experience since the Van has a near contiguous sheet of Solar Panels to quiet the rain. (Rain is normally very loud in a van) - Insulated Window Covers (3) and Roof Vent Covers (2) The cabinets are latched with high powered magnets so they won't open on the road so I added linear actuators so you can open them with a button press! Weight:  the Promaster 3500 has a max payload of 4820lbs.  I drove through a weigh station a while back and my van was roughly 7500lbs. minus the weight of the bare van of 4669lbs that's a 2831lb payload or room for 1989lbs more.  Roughly.  The van also has a tow capacity on top of the "payload" or what can be stored in the cargo. Value:  last I checked you can get a company to make you a basic van for a floor of ~30k, you have to provide the van. I doubt you could find even a 2014 or 15 3500 high roof extended for less than ~20k.  So for around 50k you can get a basic buildout.  I doubt it'll have a shower.  It'll probably have some roof vent fans but not a Fresair air conditioner (~$1500). It definitely won't have a massive solar array and a giant battery bank.  The lithium batteries alone were $4k.  10 year warranty.  They've come down a little but they're still quite expensive.  It definitely won't look like my van. In addition to the new trans I've had some factory recall solenoids replaced, a bunch of brake work done, Brake lines and shoes and replaced. I had the bearings in the rear wheel replaced. AFIK looking at the Promaster forums the trans is what goes on these older Promasters and this one's been updated. They certainly hold their value on the used market. I have paperwork for some of said repairs. I've been getting 14.2mpg. Pretty good for the payload and vehicle class. I think it's not a super heavy build. Saved weight on fewer cabinets, 8mm plywood walls and all the trim is ultra light urethane. The solar plus aluminum rack weigh something under 300lbs. I remember it was well beneath the carrying capacity of the roof. The vanity weighs 142lbs so I'd guess the shower in total is similar. Also the Promaster has backup sensors built into the bumper that beep as you approach something and the visibility is not terrible with the big and fisheye mirrors and the passenger side window in the cargo. Oh, It's a dual sliding door Promaster which I think is kinda rare even if one is largely blocked by the shower. You can still open 'em both and get a nice cross breeze going.
