Sold - 2016 Nissan NV200 Recon Camper

It's time to pass the torch! Our beloved Recon Camper Van is for sale. It was thoughtfully converted with the Pop-Top and side awning by Recon Campers in Marina Del Ray in 2018. The camper insert was custom fabricated by Campal out of the UK, and we imported it into the US. This van is super rare and such a fun National Park hopper. My family waited almost two years for Recon to do the Pop-Top conversion. Crazy, I know! Sitting in my driveway is a second Recon build, and because of it, the Silver Bullet doesn't get that much use anymore. Since the end of 2020, this van has not been driven much, and it's time to pass the torch to someone who will get the most out of it. My wife and I bought the new van in December 2016 from Nissan in Buena Park with only 42 miles on it, and it now has 73k miles. It has never been my primary vehicle, so the miles are low, given its age and use. It's been on two cross-country road trips, countless desert trips, and multiple trips up and down the coast. The beautiful thing about this van is that the Campal Camper is fully removable (it takes 2 to lift it out), so you can use the vehicle as a cargo van. This feature came in very handy for our pandemic home projects. The van is up to date with service; the registration was just renewed, and it's ready for a few more adventures before the following oil change. The tires have at least 10k miles left, and a new full spare is under the van. The van has never been in a collision with another vehicle, but there is a small dent on the back door from backing into a pole in a parking garage. We decided not to fix it as a reminder to be more careful. Plus, the cost of repairing something so minor was not worth it to us. The van gets roughly 24-26 MPG in the city and 28 on the highway. I'm in no rush to sell the van, but I would love for the new owner to take possession soon so they can travel the SW before the heat sets in. With the pop-top, you can sleep two upstairs or open it up for airflow and standing room. The Campal Camper folds out to sleep two very comfortably and has a nice pull-out kitchen with plenty of organization for your odds and ends. My favorite thing about this van is the Campal Camper because you can cook a full meal for yourself and your guests. We have had a lot of fun backing into parks, opening the back, and grilling out while road-tripping. I had a 2" hitch installed for accessories, and I'll include the 4-bike rack shown in the photos. The rack is great because it swings out, allowing you to open both doors. This van was not made for towing, so the hitch is just for accessories. Included with the van sale are all of Recon's custom window covers. They're magnetic, dual-sided, and made from 7-layer technical fabric. We slept in nearly freezing temps without a heater because of how well the van's insulation is. Get ready for many more years of camping fun with this one-of-a-kind compact camper! I want $27,000 but am also open to the best reasonable offer, considering this is a unique vehicle. Cheers!
