1992 Mitsubishi Delica Chamonix

For sale is my boyfriend’s 1992 Mitsubishi Delica L300 Starwagon low roof Chamonix edition. This has been my daily driver and business vehicle for the last 3 years. It has been to California and back, camping in Moab, skiing in Colorado, all through the Appalachians, and down the Keys. It is truly a go anywhere vehicle and does so in style all while getting low to mid 20's gas mileage. If you like adventure and attention, and don’t mind life in the slow lane this is the vehicle for you. The Chamonix is the winter sport edition of the Delica line, it comes with dual batteries, extra insulation for those cold nights, a limited slip differential in the rear that the other models don’t have, and of course that amazing interior look. Things to note include: True high and low 4wd. Both work well and have been serviced in the last year with genuine Mitsubishi gear oil. 4-Speed automatic transmission. Shifts well and has been serviced in the last year with genuine Mitsubishi gear oil. 4D56-T turbo diesel 4-cylinder engine. Runs smoothly and has been serviced religiously with premium Shell Rotella 15W-40 engine oil. IT DOES LEAK A BIT OF OIL. It always has since I bought it and I always just check it and add in a little more oil when it gets low but hey it’s a 31 year old diesel engine and that’s just how it goes. I replaced the valve cover gasket when I bought it at 84k miles because I could see it leaking. Timing belt was also done at 84k miles. Brakes have been serviced in the last year and brake master cylinder was replaced at 84k. The body does have some blemishes and is far from perfect. It has lived at the beach for most of the time I've had and therefore most of the chrome bits are showing surface rust. Its not something I've been all that concerned about and the underside is very dry and in excellent condition. The interior is in excellent condition. It seats 8 people comfortably and the middle bench can pivot to face backwards for club seating, as well as fold down flat to make a bed. Its an old car and somethings, particularly electronics, will be temperamental and stop working on occasion but nothing major and on the whole it is in good condition for the age.
