2016 FORD TRANSIT 350 CAMPERVAN 82,000 MILES My wife and I built this campervan during quarantine and we have travelled all over the United States in it. It sleeps two people (and a 70 lb dog) very comfortably. I’m 5’10” and can fully stand up comfortably inside. We had no intention of selling this van, but we are expecting kids and will need to build out a new van that is better suited for a larger family. Overall, we absolutely love this build from a personal and functional point of view, because it lives as easy as it looks good. It’s bittersweet writing this, as I wish we could keep it. Engine and Transmission 3.7L V6 Gas 270 hp @ 6500 rpm 250 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm 6-Speed Automatic Rear-Wheel Drive Features - When we built this, it was our intention to live completely off the grid and go wherever we wanted without stress. After van lifing it in New Zealand for a couple years, we knew exactly the features we were after and sought out to make our dream build. THE VAN DELIVERED! One of the more important functions was the ability to go incognito in the city. The exterior looks like any typical Transit van and doesn’t scream PEOPLE ARE SLEEPING HERE. The other important functions were an interior toilet and sink/cooker. My wife is a recipe developer and has consistently been able to cook up complex dishes in this kitchen. The pullout table and fridge save so much space that we can both do cook prep together in the kitchen. Overall, it’s extremely comfortable and cozy. This is usually where we keep our camping gear, as well as firewood, portable fireplace, and paddle board. Cabinet storage in kitchen is well suited to fit a large amount of groceries and cookware. Miscellaneous kitchen cabinet stores extra bits and bobs. Bed cabinet storage is where we typically keep our clothes and shoes. Side bed cabinets typically has extra jackets and hats. Seriously, there’s an insane amount of storage space in this van build. Electrical - In almost two years of living in and out of this van for months on end, I have never ran out of power, no matter how much I’ve tried.
