Seller's Description

✨ Are you looking for the off-road-iest beast-mode Camper Conversion alive?? Do you love Ford Trucks but secretly envy Westfalia pop tops? An amazing camper van project to finish up? ✨ She is a Ford Excursion LTD that’s had the roof replaced by a Westfalia pop top. Super stealth mode in any Walmart parking - fits a regular parking spot perfectly - and a great conversation starter at camp :) This is the safest and most gentle giant camper van you can come across - we know from own experience! Me and my fiancé are two New York snowbirds and have been working on our truck during the winter in Clearwater, FL a little over three years now. Last year we finally got the interior and electrical ready enough to travel and went on a great trip from Tampa to Key West and back before putting it back in our covered Florida storage where it’s been standing since. Unfortunately, this year we moved to California for work and we sadly had to realize that our beloved truck could no longer be a part of our post pandemic life. So now we’re looking to sell it to someone who’d like to add the finishing touches! It’s perfectly fine to go travel in already so you can use it while you’re finalizing the last details :) 🛠 What’s left to do: - Plumbing. The kitchen is built and the parts are there. Just need to be put together! - Building drawers on driver side of the bed for laundry, tools, etc. - Finish top layer of awning on passenger side, see in picture - Esthetics like siding, curtains, more storage if wanted and needed - Reverse camera does not come on - Ask us anything and we’ll try our best to answer! Full Disclosure: The first year of our build we got into an accident. It was St Patricks day and we had just stopped at a red light around 7pm when a drunk driver drove 80mph into the car behind us which in turn crashed into us and crushed our passenger back corner. But our truck didn’t even cross the stop line - she’s a beast! Long story short, the insurance company wanted to total the car but we couldn’t do that to her and paid out of pocket for the repairs. Luckily we’re ok and the truck only got body damage and still runs smooth. OTHER INFO 🤩 The Amazing News: - Pop top with window screen for beautiful morning views and cooling ocean breeze’s - Perfect off grid adventure vehicle - Physical title in hand ready to transfer - If you can drive a regular pickup truck you can drive this! - No special drivers license needed 📊 The Stats: - VIN: 1FMNU43S62EC45529 - $30000 or OBO - 2002 Ford Excursion w Westfalia Pop Top - 190000 miles - dually rear wheels - 5 year old 6.8L V10 Engine - 9 feet tall and 19 feet long - 14mpg highway 9mpg city - private seller 🚐 The Van: - Six hardly used tires, brand new at date of purchase, early 2019. - Automatic transmission - Drives great - 4x4/2x4 wheel drive, easy to switch in between when you need that extra oomph off road. - Has been very well taken care of throughout her life - Mechanically in great shape. That said, we strongly suggest continuing to regularly service the truck to make it last for years to come. - Engine and transmission are completely reliable - Aftermarket Bluetooth stereo system - Rust along side of left back corner of roof repaired, fall 2021 🚧 The Construction: - Heavy duty, spacial Ford Excursion can tow a boat if you want to - Roof replaced with a Westfalia pop top. - Wooden interior - Vinyl wood flooring throughout - Insulated floors and walls - Fresh weather stripping throughout bus - Exterior is completely sealed and waterproofed (it’s been thru plenty thunder storms in Florida and not a single leak!) 🛏 The Van Life Amenities: - Solar powered (6x100W solar panels) - Mini fridge/freezer - Stainless steel kitchen sink with faucet and electric pump - 6 gallon fresh water tank for the kitchen sink - Anyone 7 foot and below can very comfortably stand in the truck with the pop top open - Custom reflective covers for all windows to keep the heat out - ALSO works like black out curtains - Fold out sleeper couch gets you 2 extra seats when traveling and a full size bed when it’s time to sleep - Full size memory foam mattress turns into seating and arm rest - Very roomy inside for this size vehicle - Ice fueled A/C 12v fan to keep you cool on a hot summer night - Storage throughout the van. Plenty of space for more than one person! We’ve traveled 2 and our dog - Under the bed storage, side storage and the entire back trunk area 🔌 The Electronics: - Everything inside the bus is powered off 6x100w solar panels securely mounted on the van roof - Mini fridge - Charge controller - 2000W inverter - 3 Autokraft Silver Deep Cycle AGM Battery 12V - Remote controlled lighting strips with several light modes - Lots of USB ports for charging phones and other devices - Simple and easy to use power station. It’s all totally dialed in for you and is very user friendly. - Plenty of juice to charge all of your electronics including laptop or cameras - You won’t have to worry about waking up to a dead car battery 😕 The Bummer News: - This isn’t the most fuel efficient vehicle out there (roughly 14mpg highway 9mpg city) - Despite the insulation and sound deadening material, this bus does get noisy from road rumble. It doesn’t really affect the front driver/passenger seat though - and with heavier curtains between the “cockpit” and the back living area, you can cut out a lot more sound. 🛠 Recent Repairs: - Six brand new tires - Cleared after a comprehensive safety inspection a year ago - New break rotors and calipers 2022 🤯 The Unbelievable News: - Despite being from 2002, this van is very reliable, flexible and dedicated to facilitating wild adventures. Add to the adventure, tow a boat behind it! - You’ll have at least 150000 miles to go with this truck. Maybe even more with it’s new 6.8 V10 engine from 2017! - This is not being made anymore and is a highly sought after heavy duty truck. But she’s a Ford so don’t fret, you’ll have no problem finding spare parts if needed! 💁🏼‍♀️ Easy To Drive - We’re no car geeks and not hugely built but can comfortably drive this truck. It’s just like driving a pick up, but a tiny bit taller and it won’t take long to get used to! 🏞 She’s Travel Ready!! Yes, she needs some finishing touches but she’s still a very fun and enjoyable ride. Last trip we did was a 10 day amazing drive to Key West and it went without a problem except we obviously didn’t have running water since the plumbing wasn’t ready. 🚀 Interested in standing out as a serious buyer? Send me a detailed message confirming you’ve read this entire ad. Can’t front the cash but LOVE the vehicle? Let us know. Maybe we can find a way! Johan & Channing
