1989 Chevrolet G20 Get-Away Conversion van/camper. 84250 miles For its age and make/model/type this camper van is in great condition and in wonderful mechanical order/function. New transmission, rebuilt rear differential, upgraded 1-ton springs and shocks front and rear. Full Maintenance logs of the last 20 years or so with extensive routine maintenance over the course of its life as it was owned by the same person. Never lived in, always loved. It has been tastefully/modestly updated to retain retro charm and flexible layout. This has been a family owned van since bought used/new in 1991/2. Able to meet in Silverdale/Bremerton. Feel free to reach out with any inquiries or questions. 5.7L, 350 Cu in. V8- throttle body port injected. 13-16mpg. Very smooth engine and transmission combination. Recent Mechanical work done: 8/2022 New Battery 6/2020 Front and rear springs, 1-ton upgraded. Front and rear shocks to match 1-ton springs. Control arms and steering work. Rear brake cylinder replaced. New Deep Cycle Battery for 12V Power. New Set of Tires at ~82,000 Miles. Great tread and life left. 3/2020: New Transmission and Rebuilt Rear Differential with less than 5,000 miles on it. 7/2019: New Steering Gearhead. Front Shocks. New Front Brake Rotor and hub assembly. As a part of the interior update done in 2020: New subfloor with 1/2" plywood sheets, with an insulation layer beneath, along with new vinyl flooring. The kitchenette and benches were retained. New Dometic 3-way Power Fridge/Freezer (Propane, 12v, 120v). Electronically controlled- Very efficient. Built in safety features due to automation and updated design. Slightly altered/improved layout- closet/bench end sectioning removed with custom platforms/storage now in its place to extend bed and storage areas. These are removeable. New custom handmade drapes for all windows. The Dinette bench seat foam and upholstery was removed but the wood forms remain for the bed and seating should one want a bench cushion seating could be added again- however we found we used the van with the bed down most often. Some Age quirks: Interior automotive door and overhead lighting not working. Dash/Instrument/Gurage panel lighting does. Back Camper lighting has LED upgraded bulbs. Driver side window does not roll down. Motor appears to receive power but perhaps something is sticking in the mechanism. Passenger window does work. Radio unit inoperative but original. I used a Bluetooth speaker. AC works but only blows cool not extreme cold. Gas Gauge is stuck at extreme full and not indicating. Could be Fuel sending unit. I use a mile log with known miles and tank quantity. As mentioned this van gets 13-16mpg depending. Better than some new vehicles (A recent similarly sized uhaul driven only managed 10mpg). Fuel tank quantity is ~30gallons, possibly 35. Giving a range with full tank nearly 400miles. I never ran it full empty or less than 1/4 tank due to old gauge error.
