The van, aka “The Beast,” is a 2017 Dodge Ram Promaster 2500 and currently has 60,313 miles. It was just appraised for a fair market value of $59,326. We can provide the appraisal paperwork for peace of mind, or to help with financing! It's the high roof and extended cab version, which we have been so thankful to have. Anyone less than 6'3" tall will have no problem standing up straight in the kitchen, or sitting up straight in the bed. The extended cab maximizes interior living space, but it still fits within a standard parking space. Another thing to note is that the van is front wheel drive which is unique compared to the Ford Transit or Sprinter. This has been a lifesaver during snowy winter roadtrips! Maybe not important to you, but was a big selling point for us. This beauty was custom built by an artist and an engineer who sold it to us back in 2018. It is set up for hiking, cycling, skiing, and more. Every inch of living space is utilized well without feeling cramped. There are plenty of built-ins for storage, and a lot of open space which makes it flexible for various usages. There is indoor bike storage, a kitchen space that looks towards the great outdoors, and the outside of the van is very stealthy. There is a fully operational solar system for off the grid boondocking that easily powers the fridge, electric blankets, lights, vent fan, electronics, and more (details on solar below). The van was serviced last year by a local Dodge dealership (we haven’t had the time to use it much since) and has a lot of new parts including a new transmission assembly. A wheel alignment is recommended and yet to be performed - the right front toe is out of spec and unable to adjust due to tie rod end lock nut seizing on inner tie rod end. We have the repair receipts as record and can share. The appraiser has recommended replacing the roof rack before long, and was made aware of the recommended repair above. The van otherwise has received extremely high scores across the board for overall shape and build quality. *We have factored the necessary repairs into our overall cost. Please reach out with any questions!
