Seller's Description

This compact camper van comes with everything you need for your solo camping adventure (even a composting toilet)! It has a fully convertible couch + dinette + bed and it truly includes everything you'd get in a larger van at a much more economical size and price. It gets amazing gas mileage (Average highway 24 mpg fully loaded), is mechanically sound, lower mileage, new tires, battery, ignition coils, and had a complete mechanic workup last year. I've driven this van across the country and back and lived in it for 6 months. It's such an easy to drive and maintain camper van. These Transit Connects are typically coveted for their higher inside height -- and this one is even more SPECIAL! With the 12" Fiberine topper, there is about 5'3" standing room inside. I'm 5'4" and just have to slouch a teeny bit to stand comfortably inside. I've honestly never seen another Transit Connect campervan build with a topper on it - and, in my opinion, having the standing room makes this tiny van completely livable. There are several different work stations within the van - 1) working sitting at the dinette, 2) working from the couch with the kitchen extension popped up, and 3) working standing in the hallway facing the wall towards the dinette pop-up. (And, if you add a small board to go across the back door shelves, you could work standing outside facing in.) I have photos from the build-out process last year, and also more regular photos if you'd like to see or know more. (Keep in mind that the YT video short is from a few months ago before I added a couple of awesome upgrades, but I wanted to keep it as it shows the internal spacing and lights working). The Build: • Solid Fiberglass topper - adds about 11 inches, making the standing height 5'3". • Bluetti AC200Max power station (2,200W 2,048Wh) - this runs everything in the van and is also portable if you ever need it to be. • Bluetti PV350 Solar Panel - this can fully charge the battery in just 1 afternoon! • Power inlet on outside of van charges Bluetti power station when you have shore power - long power cable and 30 to 15 amp adapter included. (The Bluetti can be actually be charged via shore power, solar panels, and 12v DC - making it very flexible for however you travel, whether on or off the grid.) • Rooftop Maxxair fan is bidirectional, multi-speed and has rain sensor • Joytutus 26 Quart, 12volt portable refrigerator/freezer - hides away under the couch on a pull-out drawer • OGO Composting Toilet, fully vented - includes a few bags of coco-coir and lots of replacement filters, plus toilet paper holder and trash area • Dometic GO Hydration Water Faucet (rechargeable) + 11L Dometic Go Hydration Jug + 5 gallon grey tank + a small sink built into the countertop • Camper windows that open (with screens)! You can get excellent air-flow with windows opened and the roof fan on, easily keeping things cool in the van • Fully Kilmat sound deadend and insulated floor, ceiling, and walls • WeatherTech bumper step on back, laser cut mats for front floorboards, rain shield for drivers side window, and front window cover (reversible) + blackout felt window covers for all other windows • Couch converts into a small cooking area, a dinette, and into a bed (It's SO multi-functional, you won't believe it!) • Bed is 70.5” long and 35” wide • 2 Dimmable LED lights (with a dimmer switch on wall) • 1 AC power outlet in kitchen area + USB outlet (currently set up to run from shore power, but can quickly and easily be plugged into Bluetti when off-grid) • Expanded over-cab storage area • Closed shelves all along the topper - it adds so much storage and keeps things looking really clean and aesthetic • Quick pop-up dinette table and kitchen countertop extension mean you have a lot of counter space to work with when needed, but it also folds away easily when you don't need it (counters are stained dark, and clear / sparkly epoxied) • Back doors open up fully + have built-in storage + a bug screen • Garage area at driver’s side sliding door (also accessible from left back door) has a ton of space for storing tools, the solar panels, cleaning supplies, mr. buddy heater, etc. + even includes a tiny hanging closet space! • Plus so much more! The Van: • 2011 Ford Transit Connect • 101, 022 miles (but I do currently use it to drive around town - the good news is that it's never been just "sitting", but that also means that miles may go up slightly) • New battery, all-season tires, ignition coils and full mechanical workup late last year - this thing has been very mechanically sound for me (I've driven it all across and around the country and back) and it's been kept up with regular oil changes. • A textured Black paint was applied to the lower parts and nose of the van for personal aesthetic reasons • Headlights were restored last year Anything else, just ask! :)
