We built this van a couple years ago in pursuit of living fully off-grid. It's fully equipped with a solar system that powers the outlets, overhead fan, and fridge. Plus, it has the capacity to upgrade and add more electrical devices should you want to add to it! The kitchen has brand new cabinetry, freshly sanded, stained, and treated countertops with an extendable end table for extra counter space or an extra place to eat & work. The sink and faucet system consists of a brand new farmhouse sink with flexible faucet and a marine foot-pump powered plumbing system for fresh water stored in a 5 gallon tank. The greywater tank is also 5 gallons, making filling up and dumping a rare activity. The cabinet doors close tight and secure with magnets. The custom built full-sized bed is sturdy and spacious, a little bit bigger than a standard full-size bed, it easily fits two people. The bed is topped with a tri-fold 6 inch thick mattress that has a cooling gel foam layer for temperature regulation. The BougeRV 28L fridge fits everything I've ever needed for camp food and drinks. Turn on any or all of the 6 battery powered lights from the mounted remote and have the ability to dim the lights to your preference and even change the color - red, blue, green or white! Each light is also an individual button, making it easy to turn certain lights on where you need them while conserving the others. Find on the remote 4 options to put the lights on a timer. 15, 30, 60 & 120 minutes so you can fall asleep with lights on and not worry about the batteries running low. The double back doors include a floating shelf for books and storage as well as a drawbridge style bedside table that hinges down when you need it and back up when you're on the move. Underneath the bed is the “garage” where there is plenty of room for all of your gear and adventure essentials! With sections organizing the front from the back, you can decide what items to keep up front so you can access them from inside the van versus the things you keep in the back to access by opening up the back doors. Inside the van, a custom built barn-door slides open to give you access to the “garage” and locks closed with a ‘hook and eye’ latch. The van itself is a dream to drive, I have been told by every mechanic and car-buff that 2006 is the golden year for Dodge & Mercedes-made engines, also called the T1N, it is known for driving well into the millions of miles with no issues. I have actually been advised on multiple occasions not to sell this van at all because of this lol. The diesel engine makes it a beast on the highway (it literally gets better gas mileage than my subaru) - smooth cruise control and rare stops at gas stations. At only 120k miles, this van is a baby with a very, very, long life ahead of it! Some additional things to know: - A/C is not strong. ive never minded because with the windows down its always comfortable. no issues with the head in winter, but A/C could definitely get updated. - i have a builder here who helped me with my solar installation and cabinetry, i would be happy to share his info with you post-sale so you can have your very own van build consultant :) - same goes for my mechanic, who knows the van very well ^ We absolutely love our van and it’s so hard to let it go after 2 years of adventures and memories, but we are ready to move onto the next adventure and we know that this tiny home on wheels will be the perfect fit for someone who is ready to hit the road!
