Bought this Chevy Express 2500 Extended van beginning of last summer at 116,000 miles. It was in great condition to begin with and we cleaned it meticulously before starting the build. We have been living out if it off and on for the past 8 months and it has been a great home on wheels. A large portion of the winter consisted of driving too and from ski mountains and chains were only necessary once. Mechanically, the van is in great condition and nothing from our build has required fixing or replacing. Currently the van has 122,000 miles on it. We have plenty of photos and videos of our build process and would be happy to provide more pictures or videos upon request! Features include: ⁃ 1-2 inches of Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) pink foam on ceiling, floor, and walls. Spray foam in the gaps and cracks between the XPS insulation. ⁃ Wood floor and vinyl finishing ⁃ Passenger swivel seat ⁃ Set of Firestone winter force snow tires as well as set of highway tires included ⁃ Large roof box ⁃ Two 100 watt solar panels on roof ⁃ Maxxair vent fan ⁃ Sink (5 gallon primo bucket, rechargeable faucet head, and grey water tank) ⁃ Two VMAX SLR125 AGM Battery 12V 125Ah Deep Cycle Solar Batteries connected to both our solar panels and an isolator that charges the batteries from the alternator anytime the van is turned on. ⁃ Additionally the batteries are connected to a 1000-watt inverter with two fully functioning AC outlets and 2 USB ports - The Maxxair ventilation fan and the 4 recessed lights are all wired to the batteries with the wires out of sight under the wood. ⁃ 4 recessed lights wired to a light switch near side door as well as LED light strip ⁃ Heavy duty tire chains ⁃ Two beds that open up for storage. Planks included to connect beds into one large bed. Repairs: ⁃ Transmission rebuild by Barrett Transmission Specialties on November 26, 2022. This includes a 2 year or 25,000 mile warranty. We have all the paper work for you. ⁃ Brake pads and front rotor replacement on May 30, 2023 with paper work. ⁃ Serpentine belt replacement on March 15, 2023 with paperwork. ⁃ New Battery on March 15, 2023 with paperwork. - A set of Window covers that are made in order to prevent the loss of heat in the winter time as well as add privacy. The bad: ⁃ AC does not blow cold air. We think this could be fixed by a simple recharging of the AC but we are unsure. The heat works perfectly and the AC blows steady but the air that comes out is not cold.
