Seller's Description
Up for sale is our 1993 Ford E-150 Campervan. This van has approximately 73k miles on it and is very clean inside and out. The original owner, a master craftsman, purchased it new back in ’93 and built it for him and his wife to travel around the country. It is built for one or two people with two seats and two beds, with a walkway in between the beds that is perfect for a dog. A new propane tank and regulator feeds a built-in stove, and the plumbing can be teed off to supply other accessories if needed. A plug-in refrigerator is also included with the van. This is a very reliable van that has been well taken care of its whole life. Last season, we drove out to Yellowstone in August and the van was able to maintain 80mph up hills without any problems. The A/C was nice and cold and the seats are the most comfortable I have ever had in a car. The heater/defrost works great as well as the rear heater. The van is super clean underneath with absolutely no rust. This van has given us, as well as the previous two owners, many great memories; going everywhere from Mt. Rushmore to Los Angeles (via Highway 395), Yosemite, Tetons, and everywhere in between. Recent service includes a new battery, tune up (cap, rotor, plugs and wires), oil change, transmission flush, power steering flush, and new steering box (all OEM Motorcraft). The coolant system has also been completely rebuilt, replacing the water pump, thermostat, radiator cap, heater core, and having the original brass radiator cleaned and inspected. I have also replaced the dreaded 5.0L timing cover gasket, along with the oil pan gasket and front crank seal. The van does not leak anything or abnormally use any fluids. The brakes, tires, and shocks also have very few miles on them and are in good condition. I have also fixed all of the usual E series van leaks so you can have a worry-free camping experience (as well as dry storage in the off season). All service records included. Since this van has the 5.0L V8, a trailer hitch, and brake controller, it is capable of towing small trailers. The small V8 still gets reasonably good gas mileage as well (16mpg avg when loaded with gear and people). We have had many wonderful adventures in this van, but our growing family can no longer fit in it and so we are looking for a new home for it.
