Custom-built in 2020 for a family who loves exploring the southwest, Serendipity’s design and layout features seating for four passengers with the addition of two removable captains chairs, as well as sleeping for four with a double decker sleeping arrangement that easily transforms into a couch for lounging during the day. Powered by five 100Ah lithium ion batteries, the aftermarket rooftop air conditioner, microwave, freezer/refrigerator combo, induction cooktop, roof vent fans, lights, and outlets are all able to work without the use of an external power source. With a secondary alternator that directly charges the house batteries while the engine is running, recharging the battery in a quick drive is a breeze. The 20 gallon water tank feeds the sink and rear external shower, while the Espar hydronic diesel water heating system provides warm water and the Webasto EVO 55 diesel system heats the cabin. We use the van for weekend trips to the mountains, or week-long trips across the country. We designed the van to fit a full-size motorcycle in the back, using the Pitbull restraint system (no wheel chocks or tie-downs required!). Outlets and USB ports throughout the vehicle. Plug under the passenger seat for solar panels.
