Completely custom, professionally built Ram ProMaster City camper van. Named after Darth Vader, Vader the van is an amazing build for a couple, or single person looking to do trips with a more comfortable experience than tent camping. The build is simple, so you have nothing to worry about/maintain. Just jump in, drive, and get your adventure started! Vader is very well maintained (to make sure we wouldn’t get stuck in the middle of nowhere) and most of the mileage is highway miles. Oil changes were performed every 5000 to 7000 miles. All maintenance and repairs were done at a Dodge dealership in Burlingame CA. The BFG KO2 All-Terrains tires still have a lot of life in them. The van is for sale "as is." Since it's "as is" we wouldn't want to inadvertently screw someone by handing them a van that had a hidden issue, so we recently completed the 55k miles maintenance schedule on the van which included: an oil change, tire rotation, topping off all fluids, fuel system cleaning service, and a multi-point inspection which included inspection of breaks, tires, suspension, battery and drive belts. Everything works. With regular maintenance, you can expect a ProMaster City to last 200,000 miles or longer. Mileage per gallon is 25 mixed city/highway mpg for a ProMaster. The ProMaster City fits in any parking lot/garage; it parks and drives like a regular vehicle. We had 2 rigs before Vader the van, a high-roof Sprinter van we lived in full-time and a Mazda5 minivan. We find that Vader is a nice "in-between" camper van, smaller than a Sprinter but more spacious than a minivan. The Interior: The interior perimeter of Vader is lined by Kilmat sound barrier to dampen the noise of the road when driving and noisy neighbors when camping. Vader is also fully insulated with Havelock wool (non-toxic & anti-mildew). The walls and ceiling are lined with black and grey automotive upholstery lining for coziness, additional insulation, and for Vader vibes. There are 4 rechargeable puck lights on the ceiling secured by magnets. The custom convertible bed + bench has 4 heavy duty drawers with marine latches and a very large cubby for duffle bags, sleeping bags and other bulky items. The extendable desk has cubbies for small to medium-sized items and a cabinet for larger items like water jugs. The cabinets are removeable, so it can be transferred to another van of similar size. Windows and windshield are tinted. The tint is probably one of my favorite things about this van. Not only does it provide extra privacy because people can't see the inside of the van, but it also protects my eyes and arms from the sun while driving. I rarely have to wear my sunglasses when driving and I don't get that uneven tan on the left side of my body.
