We bought this van (almost new) last June and used it to ski out West while working two, full-time, corporate, remote jobs. The van has under 50K miles on it, has been maintained by the book and will have a new sticker next week. The tires still have tons of wear left, 2 of which are brand new. This van was created to maximize comfort and space, while keeping it simple to use/maintain. The solar system was designed and installed by professionals and managed to meet our needs as remote workers. The solar system can easily be expanded but you will most likely find this unnecessary. As I mentioned previously, my girlfriend and I both worked 2 full-time jobs while also living in this van FULL TIME. We traveled all around the US, mostly throughout the winter months and our setup was exactly what we needed to turn our travel dreams into a reality. We used Starlink as our source of Wi-Fi which allowed us to have HIGH SPEED internet, anywhere at any time. Our gasoline heater was installed directly into the van, allowing us to live very comfortably during those cold winter months. The heater is self regulating, so you can set a preferred temperature and the heater will run as needed. Check the link above for more information! More About the Solar: We have a Hytech 215 watt panel that charges a Battle Born 100 amp lithium battery and a 400w inverter. The system also charges off the alternator when running the engine. It is all controlled by Victron components to monitor and control the unit. It runs a large 130 liter Indel B Fridge/freezer from Truckfridge, Maxair Maxxfan 7500 deluxe, 4 different led light circuits (all on dimmer switches), and 2 separate outlets for charging phones or laptops. We never ran out of power! Also professionally installed were the maxxair fan, 3 extra motion windows with screens and the scopema swivel seats for the driver and passenger. The whole van was insulated with thinsulate to avoid capturing moisture and avoid mold or rust. It comes with custom built insulated window quilts by Nightfall Overland for all the windows except the 3 motion windows. These are great for privacy and heat retention or keeping cool. The cooktop and stove is a Camp Chef outdoor oven. We love to cook and it worked great in the custom built cabinet, but can also easily be removed to cook outdoors when you wish. It's connected to a 5lb gas tank that's easy to turn on and off. We have a Fiamma F80s awning that is over 11' long x 7' deep (when fully extended) that provides great extra living space. Comfortable sleeping is essential, so the bed is set up back-to-front to provide a 72" wide x 70" long surface. This also allowed us to get in and out of bed without crawling over each other. The mattress is made out of different densities of foam to fit our desired sleeping surfaces. Of course, you can easily lay side to side as well. The 2 rear and 1 middle windows have half sliders with screens that provide great ventilation. We opted to go with a van without a built in sink, pump, and waste water system because it uses a lot of space, wastes a lot of water and needs to be cleaned frequently. Instead, we opted to use 2 Sansone 15 liter stainless steel water containers with faucets that sit on a custom pedestal to act as our water supply. They are stored easily in the cabinet below, take up less space, are super easy to clean and promote less waste. We easily camped for 4-7 days without the need to refill for cooking or drinking. We also have a solar shower and stall for those rare times we didn't have access to something better and could have carried an extra 5 gallon jug for that purpose if needed. We also opted to use a portable toilet system for those RARE times we didn't have access to something better. Again, we didn't want to lose the space and increase the maintenance. The van comes with a set of Maxtrax recovery boards and a set of tire chains should you ever get stuck (we never had this issue). The van did very well in all sorts of terrain and we managed to visit 15 different ski resorts throughout the course of 5 months without having a single issue getting to where we needed to be. The cabinets all have latches and locks to prevent opening on the road. There is tons of space below the bed frame for bikes or skis or whatever you want to bring for however long. This van was designed in a modular way (using cross nuts to avoid drilling holes) so that it can be changed to another configuration if needed. There are a ton of other details and inclusions that we can discuss in person if you'd like to see it. We also have an Instagram account that illustrates all of our travels so feel free to message me and I will send you the link!
