Sold - 1997 VW Eurovan Winnebago Pop-Up Camper

Seller's Description

Our 1997 VW Eurovan Camper has a V6 140 hp engine, automatic transmission with oil cooler, front wheel drive, A/C, power windows, antilock brakes. It runs on regular gasoline and gets 20mpg on the highway (sometimes more if empty, not crossing mountain passes) and 18mpg loaded going over hilly terrain. Easily cruise with traffic on freeway. It is 17' long and can be parked in a regular sized parking space. Carfax report (which you can have) shows no accidents and the van has been registered in Washington State its entire life with the exception of a winter in AZ. Clean title. We've owned our van since last Fall and have taken it on several shorter trips in Washington and Oregon plus a longer trip to California. While it worked well for us on those trips we want to start taking longer trips (a month or more) so we want to step up to something bigger that includes a bathroom. The van is in absolutely excellent condition both inside and out. When not out on the road it has been garaged almost its entire life. No Problem with rust or drips and no interior water leaks. The paint and pop-up roof are in excellent condition. The rear brakes have been rebuilt (calipers, pads, rotors resurfaced, fluid flushed). The engine oil and transmission fluid, plus their filters, and the serpentine belt and the engine start battery have been replaced. This was done before our longest trip (about 1000mi ago). The engine and cabin air filters were also replaced. Previous to our ownership the maintenance records show the following repairs: Spark plugs, coil and spark plug wires replaced at 160,000mi. Front brake rotors and pads replaced at at 160,000mi. (rear brakes rebuilt as stated above). Ball joints, axle assemblies, CV boots replaced and 3-way alignment at 160,000mi. Coolant flush at 154,000mi. Engine fuel system cleaned and flushed at 148,00omi. The muffler was replaced at 133,000mi. Features/Accessories/Extras: GoWesty transmission oil cooler. GoWesty suspension lift kit with Bilstein shocks and 16" Audi wheels. ( This increases ground clearance and decreases leaning while turning corners.) 2" hitch receiver for bike rack (included), etc. No history of towing. Thule roof racks. Rooftop storage area over cab with tie down rails. Sidewinder2 full size retractable side awning with accessory Add-A-Room enclosure with zippered screen and solid flaps. Rear outside enclosure slips over opened rear door/hatch for shower privacy (cold water only) and outside dry storage (see photos). Side, rear door and rooftop vent screens. Full cover. GoWesty high intensity headlight bulbs. Tires are in fine shape with 10,000mi. on them and have been professionally siped. Unused tire chains. Inside the features: Driver and passenger captain chairs that swivel 180 degrees for back cabin seating. 12 gal. of electric pressure water at stainless sink and rear shower hose sprayer. 8 gal. holding tank. 4.7 gal. propane tank. 2 burner propane cooktop. Thermostat controlled propane cabin heater keeps the inside toasty warm even in subfreezing weather. 3-way Norcold refrig. runs on 12volt DC and 110volt AC (when plugged into outside electrical source--25' cord included). The refrig. gets cold enough to freeze food and beverages if you leave it turned down too low. It also runs on propane but it doesn't light off reliably. (You can run the frig. while cruising down the road on electricity.) 2 foldable/stowable tables plus attachable wooden cutting board Like new upgraded pleaded pull down shades on side windows and sliding door plus privacy currents on rear door and front windows for complete privacy all around. Kenwood remote controlled tuner/CD that is ipod/iphone/android compatible. Group 31 marine deep cycle 12volt house battery 2 years old. Multiple built-in DC charger sockets. 2 beds. Upper and lower sleep 2 people each. 1 memory foam mattress topper in duvet. Pop-up has screened windows on both sides and front with zippered cover flaps. Maintenance records. There are some flaws (nobody is perfect): The side screens in the pop-up have a hole in one and a tear in the other but both sides have a full layer of new screen so there are no bug leaks. No holes or tears in the front screen or canvas walls. There is some rust on the rear end of the exhaust pipe near the muffler but not bad enough to replace it. The muffler is fine as is the rest of the undercarriage. There are some old rock chips in the windshield. The cruise control doesn't work. I haven't taken the time to do anything about this.
