Seller's Description

Looking for your dream camper van? Look no further...this is the best deal on the market! It truly is a one-of-a-kind best-in-class opportunity. But, first, before we get into the details...Why are we selling, you may ask? My girlfriend and I are moving to Brazil in the fall to get married! And, as much as we love our Van, we will no longer have a use for it... But, our loss, is your gain! Here's why... We built this van from the ground up and have owned it since it had only 300 miles on it...and its 27,000 or so miles are mostly highway miles traveling around the USA to national parks. In short, the brakes, tires, suspension, engine, and body have been well cared for. I have been extremely diligent in keeping the oil and fluids clean and topped off. So, when I say our van is in great condition and has been cared for with love and attention to detail through every mile we have driven it, I can say this with confidence! If you decide to inquire further about our Transit Van, you will learn that I am a bit "Type A" and have put a lot of effort into the details of the van. ...I think you'll agree I left no stone unturned! I built our van (our home) with love...it truly was my two-year art project. So, I'm very excited to tell you more about it! ...In fact, there are some hidden features that are pretty neat! I'll start with our favorites first... For example, we have a hidden shower underneath the bed that also folds into a dinette! Yep! The dinette floor slides back and reveals a hidden shower pan for you to shower right in the van! My personal favorite is our small adjustable gooseneck bed lights for both my and my girlfriend's side of the van. These lights are the perfect way to wind down for the evening and are much more chill than the 8 overhead lights... ...But, when you are ready to cook, clean or move through the van, we have a 3-way switch for our dimmable overhead lights that will illuminate even the darkest places in the van at night. Also, did I mention...this is the biggest Transit you can buy! The sheer size of the van makes it easy for two people to live in the van full-time...like we have for about 2 years (while we are not in Brazil)! We actually didn't include top cabinets as a conscious design choice because we wanted the van to feel as "open" as possible... I hate feeling claustrophobic! You can even turn both the driver and passenger front seats around 180 degrees to turn the front into a nice seating area for dinner or to just hang out when parked. But, don't worry...there is plenty of storage! We included 5 huge soft close drawers with the best drawer slides money can buy, a large over-driver/passenger seat storage area, a huge garage under the bed, and other places to store your belongings. And, speaking of full-time living, we built the van to be 4 seasons ready with a... - Powerful hot-blowing top-of-the-line Wabasto heater. - A DC-powered rooftop air conditioner that will keep you cool on hot nights in the summer. - 500 Watts of rooftop solar and 300 amp hours of Battle Born batteries with a 3000-watt inverter will keep all of your 20+ appliances, lights, and water system running without a problem. - The hot and cold water plumbing system and 2 showers (inside and outside the rear of the van) will keep you squeaky clean. - The huge garage can store a mountain bike...2 snowboards, a surfboard, a big electric scooter, and all of our bags and workout equipment without a problem! So, how well built is this van, you ask? Well, we built this van to have the finest and best materials. For example, we used 8020 for the entire structural system making it rock solid. The 8020 alone is worth $10,000 in material cost. I spent close to 8 months of my life full-time building this Van brick-by-brick. Literally, every screw was hand placed by me. I consulted with plumbers, electricians, prior van lifers, carpenters, too many Youtube tutorials to count, and many more experts to bring this project to life. I even improvised and added my own special touch to the final product... For example, our one-of-a-kind window frames are made out of redwood coated 5 times for a nice high-quality finish and angled to mirror the look of a deep set painting. Inset, into the window frames, are our custom-made window covers that act both as a sun reflector to keep you nice and cool in the summer and as an insulating buffer between you and the cold mountain air in the winter. Did I mention, these also act as blackout curtains for you, so you always have 100% privacy at all times? And, one of the major benefits of this van is that it has wrap-around huge windows! So, you'll never miss the beautiful views when you are parked in a national park or boondocking in a rural wonderland. ...Simply, fold down the window covers and you'll have a glimpse into the serene nature that surrounds you. I even contracted a professional artist to paint a 100% original painting on the interior ceiling depicting a beautiful mountain landscape from the vantage point of a valley stream looking onward to a mother bear and her cub. Pretty neat, right?! Oh, and I can't forget... This Van was constantly upgraded and improved as we learned more and more about living the "Van Life." ...this van is 100% tested and approved for the real world. For example, I originally installed smaller pipes for filling up and emptying the water from our van. In the first months of traveling, we would have to wait 15-20 minutes to fill up the water and empty it...which sucked! As a result, when I got home after our first trip, I made some major upgrades to the plumbing...now you can fill up the 30-gallon water tank in 2 minutes and empty the entire system (fresh and gray water) in less than 30 seconds. Finally, you may ask...how does the van drive? How does it compare to the Sprinter and Pro Master Van options on the market? I spent about 3 months researching this exact question...and here is what we found... The Transit Van, in our opinion, is the best because of its car-like driving performance, agility, and speed. It is well known that older Mercedes Sprinter Vans and Dodge Pro-Masters can struggle in steep mountain passes at altitude. This Eco-Boost van is extremely powerful and feels like a little race car if it needs to accelerate or climb big hills! You will not go wrong by choosing a Transit! So, that's it for now... ...Hopefully, you get a sense of how much this van has meant to us. It has been our home since 2020, and we loved every second of it! Now it can be yours.
