Seller's Description

Up for sale is our beautiful Ford Transit camper van. It was built out in the summer of 2021 by a carpenter/woodworker with 35+ years of experience- me. We’ve received nothing but compliments on the quality of the build, and everything about it has been dead reliable, from the vehicle to all the systems. We also greatly enjoyed the process, which is why we’re selling it- we’re going to do it again with another van! It has the 3.5L Ecoboost engine which has amazing power- leaves all the other camper vans in the dust, if that’s what you’re in to. But it also makes easy work of mountain passes, and passing on the highway too. It has a limited slip rear end which makes a big difference in marginal conditions. We added Air Lift springs to the rear end so we can dial in the ride height depending on what we’re hauling. The van was designed to be used off-grid and to be independent of RV facilities. Thus it has an amply sized solar array and battery capacity, and we’ve never run out of power, even on marginal solar days. We’ve been able to camp in one spot for days on end, until we got bored or ran out of food or beer. The waste systems are simple and don’t force you to wait in line at a dump station. It’s got an outdoor propane fired shower as well as provisions for showering inside with a collapsible curtain and pan. We’ve had some of the best trips of our lives in this van, from Atlantic Canada to the Gulf Coast to the desert Southwest. We will miss it, but we have the next chapter in our van odyssey to write. The entire build process was documented on my Instagram account, @after4adventures Please check it out, and see the care that went into this build. A couple things to note: we originally built a roof rack using 80/20 and brackets from Diyvan.com to mount the solar panels. You can see that rack in the build thread, and some of the pictures. We later replaced it with a rack and ladder from Flatline Van Co. For the sale, we will be reinstalling the 80/20 rack and saving the FVCO rack for our next van. Also not included in the sale is the WeBoost and Starlink hardware. Here are the details: Vehicle: • 2019 Ford Transit 350 • ~122,500 miles • Ecoboost 3.5L turbo • LSD rear axle • Power adjustable/ heated driver’s seat • Factory tow package • Upgraded Kenwood radio with touch screen, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto • Air Lift rear booster springs Interior: • Insulated with 1” XPS styrofoam on the floor, and Havelock sheep’s wool in the walls and ceiling • Custom built birch plywood cabinets with cane webbing and gas struts on upper doors • Bamboo counters • 3 burner propane stove with oven • Deep stainless steel sink, faucet with pullout sprayer • IndelB 130 liter compressor refrigerator • Stunning glass tile backsplash installed over Wedi board- 40,000+ miles and zero cracks • Basswood T&G wall paneling, beautiful slatted ceiling made from Western Red Cedar • Vinyl plank flooring • Puck lights in main living area, dimmable light over dinette, dimmable reading lights in bed area, dimmable under cabinet lights in kitchen. • Swivel passenger seat • 2 tables on Lagun mounts- one at rear dinette, and one for the front swivel seat • Queen size bed with 6” memory foam mattress that pushes back into “couch configuration”, and reveals dinette for two • Lots of storage in cabinets, under dinette seats, and behind seatbacks.
