Seller's Description
Selling as-is and priced to sell ASAP! This old girl is one hell of a beast!!! She was my home for 3 years. I have all the service records from my time of ownership and some from the previous owner, a clean title, and I am the title holder. When I bought her she needed a lot of love (bought her for 19.5k) and so I have put in around $7k of work on her, whether that be cosmetic repair or engine repair, so that she can keep going for years to come! Brand New as of the 2 years: -Roof has been redone/ resealed/ waterproofed as well as the interior and exterior of the skylight windows and is now white -Brand new solar batteries -front window motors -added a transmission cooler. 3 years ago: New brake pads, rotors, hubs and calipers, wheel bearings, struts, heater core, radiator, spark plugs and wires, alternator, starter, distributor cap, distributor rotor, manifold gaskets, radiator hoses, radius arm bushings, serviced transmission and adjusted shift bands. As it stands now there is work that will need to be done: Immediate fixes: -the water pump/housing/gasket needs to be replaced; coolant is currently leaking slowly from a corner of the housing and needs fixed ASAP -upper and lower ball joints, outer tie rods, inner tie rods, drag link Over time fixes: -a new transmission will need to be dropped in within 6mo to a year (one of the few major parts that haven’t been replaced, and she’s at the age where it’s just a thing that happens) - some interior electrical work -The black trim around the front window and side door need replaced/repaired. - There is no air conditioning currently. I know...a bummer. Specifically, in the driver cab the air conditioner is out of service but can be repaired easily. The heat works amazing, I just haven't bothered with the A/C because I have moved with the weather. In the living space, there is a Maxx Air ceiling fan that is amazing at keeping it cool but there is not an A/C unit installed. You could install a unit easily in a couple different places and the electric grid could handle it, again, I just haven't bothered with it. -I have tried to repair the chinese diesel heater a few times but it may just need a new unit unfortunately. The cheaper dupes just don't last very long lol. But all of the wiring is fine, you would just have to drop a new one in worse comes to worse, they are pretty inexpensive. I am selling her as is as. I thought I might get around to fixing her myself but life just gets to you once you settle down somewhere and leave the road life behind. She is truly a mechanics dream and could easily be upgraded further and resold at a higher price. I am just ready to get her off my hands and be done with it. I am currently residing in the Point Arena, CA area and have hosting accommodations/ place to stay if you are coming to pick up from far away or out of state. The vehicle will need the above repairs mentioned before it can roadtrip anywhere. My best friend’s husband is an amazing local mechanic and is the shop that did the estimate pictured above for what would need to be done before heading out with the van. This is a must!!! It would not be safe to drive otherwise.
