Seller's Description

2005 AWD GMC safari 225k miles It’s an AWD safari that drives amazing, no issues at all with start up or transmission. Seriously I’m great condition. It drives like a dream in the snow, if you’re planning on going to the mountains you’re going to need AWD and an AWD van is so hard to find these days. It just had a fresh oil change and a new alternator put in. A new battery was put in about 8 months ago too. I’ve kept up on oil changes as long as I’ve had it and the guy before me was some older gentleman that kept it in great shape since he bought it in 2005. It’s got a liveable van life build in the back that i made a year ago. The build out isn’t the prettiest but it’s solid and does the job. Fully insulated with havelock wool, the best insulation you can buy. It comes with insulated window covers to keep you even warmer through the night. I designed the build out to be as efficient as possible with spots to store everything and no wasted space. I’m 5’10” and the bed slept me perfectly. This build was snowboard specific so you won’t have any trouble fitting snowboards, skis, shovels, etc. I’ve slept in -30 degree weather and been just fine with no heater so this thing will get you through some cold nights for sure! The Dutch doors are Astro/ safari specific and one of my favorite parts about these vans. The only few problems I know of are that there’s no gasket on one of the back doors but water won’t get inside the van and I have gaskets for it, I just haven’t put them on. There’s definitely some rust on the underside of the van but just about none on the body. I know a handful of people with safaris over 400k miles! These will last a long time and that convinced me to buy it. I’ve driven it across the country no problem. Especially a 2005 (the last and best year they made these!)
