2020 Ford Transit High Roof Normal Wheelbase DIY Conversion Purchased in 2020 with less than 30,000 miles, this DIY conversion has been across the States a few times with many adventures in between. I converted it to live and work, so it's a fully self-sustaining unit. Here are the important pieces I included in the build: Plumbing - 30 Gallon water tank - Sink and kitchen counter - Composting toilet - Full shower with heater - Exterior grey water tank mounted underneath the van Electric - 4 x 100AH LI Batteries (400AH total) - 2 x 200 Watt solar panels (400 Watts total) - 3000 Watt inverter (strong enough to power induction cooktop or small electric heater) - Dimming lights - DC-powered fridge - Battery-to-battery charger - Control panels - DC and AC outlets AC - Maxair fan Amenities - Wifi unit (usable with SIM Card and data account) - Twin-sized bed when extended - Removable table - Full Thinsulate insulation - Custom-designed and crafted cabinetry - Ladder and storage bag - Window insulation panels Floor Plan Side door entry and rear door entry. This van was designed to be able to use the side and rear doors to be accessible and to allow light into the van. There is a kitchen counter as well as a work/additional space counter. The kitchen has a window that can be opened to allow air to be vented into the van. I designed and built this van and can provide detailed diagrams of the plumbing and electrical systems.
