Seller's Description
We love this van. As teachers, we've travelled the country each summer. Now we have a newborn, and we've decided to put vanlife on hold for a few years. We hope this tiny home we built finds someone with a similar sense of adventure that has given us such rich experiences. Size: Fits in a parking spot. That's why we bought it. Good: Modern features (backup camera, good A/C, bluetooth stereo, etc.), full bathroom with composting Nature's Head, 12v Dometic fridge, Dometic propane range/oven, stainless steal sink, comfortable kitchen seats for 2-3 people, extra countertop space, thermostat controlled heater (propane), 400 amp hour Renogy AGM battery bank, 300 watt Renogy solar panels, two Maxair fans, hot water heater (propane), cedar ceiling, plenty of lights (living space, bathroom, "garage"), lots of storage (kitchen cabinets, closets, wardrobe, garage space), Insulated (3m acoustic insulation + reflectix foil insulation). Bad: The inverter/charger: The house will charge from shore power, but the inverter got zapped somehow. I'm including it in the listing, because maybe you know how to fix it or can have a Renogy professional doctor it up. Propane: There's a small propane leak that I haven't found the time to diagnose (we have a newborn at home). The systems have worked great for the last 3-4 years, but the propane will need some diagnostics. Dents (pictured): Two small dents--> one is from mismanaging my bike rack on the back door, and the other is from being a dope and backing into a tree. Dents are cosmetic. Nothing major. Kitchen faucet: My daughter was born in October, so the chaos of parenthood prevented me from properly winterizing. This cracked the kitchen faucet. The plumbing is all PEX, so the plumbing is fine. Just needs a new faucet. Maintenance: Everything has been kept up according to routine maintenance. We replaced the windshield two years ago with Safelite. That was pricey, but needed to be done. It's a funny story, if we ever meet :) Closing points: I'm not an emotional guy, but I cried as I was cleaning up and picturing this van. It gave so much to us. As new parents, it just doesn't fit our lifestyle for the next few years. A lot of people do vanlife with kids, but we're deciding to offload the van and try travel differently in the future. I built the van; so there are some quirks. But buying, building, and traveling in this van was one of the greatest decisions of my life. Even if you don't buy my van, I hope you can find that mode of living. The road will teach you how to love and let go. Now, we let go of the road. For now.
