Seller's Description

❤️ Another legendary T1N camper van for sale.❤️ Long lasting, durable, and incredibly easy to maintain (with a little elbow grease and the breadth of online resources for these vehicles at your disposal), these vans are iconic and a right of passage for any would-be dirtbag or van-lifer. This particular love-van of mine has been a home on wheels and an absolute adventure machine for over 5 years. In that time I’ve lived and worked fully in it, traveled from coast to coast and tip to tip of this beautiful country chasing snow, rock and dirt, racked up over 70,000 miles of damn good times, and through it all, it only broke down once. *** It’s a great machine for any adventure you have in mind. THIS VAN DOES NOT WORK WELL IN WINTER CONDITIONS CURRENTLY but works flawlessly in warmer climate (30 degrees and above) - if you want it for cold weather use, it will require ~$6,000 in work - see below. *** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🚐 The Van: - 140” wheelbase - Medium height roof - 5’ 2” head height - Diesel - Avg 22MPG, 500-600 miles to a 26 gal tank - Turbo - this thing can be fast, and crushes mountain passes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🧰 The Build & What's Included: - Custom build with vapor barrier, insulation, and wood paneling and flooring. - Custom roof rack with pull up bar and lounge/sleep deck + yakima rocket box (adds SO much storage) - Access via a little door from cab to the rear of the van, awesome for stealth camping in town - Functional Primus stove (and all the fuel canisters you can ask for!) & Semi functional sink kitchen - will need some work, happy to explain :) - Ceiling fan connected to car battery - Couch area with storage/cooler space, hamper, shelves, overhead storage - Bed with under storage (I’m 5’10” and my partner and I can sleep comfortably slightly diagonal no problem) - Portable toilet and pop up shower tent for the roof mounted solar shower - Custom bug nets and black out curtains - Snow chains + snow tires included - Snow chains + snow tires included OPTIONAL ADDONS - Selling Separately - ($1,200 total) - Portable Solar - Goal Zero Yeti 1000 solar generator & Goal Zero Boulder 200 Briefcase Solar Panel (really easy to set up solar and move it around when camped) - ($500 total) - RockyMount Swinging Backstage 2x bike rack ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🤪 Quirks: - No power locks, can be fixed somewhat easily though, happy to explain :) - Dash backlight doesn't seem to want to work, but is remedied with LEDs - Sliding door needs the right touch to shut, could be improved but works fine - Passenger side window can’t be controlled from driver side - Brake sensor dash light can appear - brakes and rotors are great and were replaced 2 years ago, but there's a sensor gone bad - Some internal aesthetic pieces like cabin vent fins and other miscellaneous things are broken, but could be replaced - A few rust spots and wearing paint spots (where I fixed old rust patches) that could use some love. Happy to explain how I painted it so you can touch it up too! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🧑‍🔧 ✅ Maintenance Done: - Brakes and rotors (2 years ago) - Glow plugs and harness replacement (2 years ago) - Front suspension upgraded struts and Sumo bumps (2 years ago) - New fuel lines, ball joints, tie rods (2 years ago) - New fuse block (2 years ago) - Serpentine belt and pulleys, all good for another ~150k!! (the one breakdown I ever had, this Summer) - AC fix and recharge (this summer) - Entirely new headlights (this summer) - Regular oil, fuel filter, coolant, fluid changes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🧑‍🔧 ❌ Maintenance To Do: - Seized glow plugs - doesn’t affect the vehicle other than in winter. Linden in Golden told me they’d need to move or take apart some of the the engine to get to it, so it will be a pricey fix (~$6,000) unless you can find someone who can get to it without moving the engine! This makes starting the vehicle in the winter tricky at very low temperatures/high elevation. I’d fix this glow plug if you plan on spending a lot of time skiing! Diesels are tricky to start in winter conditions at any rate, so make sure to research best practices (happy to explain as well) - There's an intermittent issue with the wiper fuse blowing, should be a simple fix but haven't looked into it yet - Cracked windshield and rusting on the windshield frame - windshield is fine but needs to be replaced at some point, the rust is an issue and might need to be fixed first though - Haven’t got to the rear suspension (I still might depending on how long this is up for), but the struts are included with the van, easy to swap ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Selling because I'm finally upgrading to a new van. Sad to see it go, but excited to pass it on. 🤙 Call or email to come see it! In Boulder. *For sale as is! Asking for listed price OBO. Willing to negotiate with the right buyer, would really love to see this van passed on to a kindred spirit*
