Seller's Description
If you're looking for an awesome van build on a budget, this is the van for you. I've had this van for 4 years, including a year of living in it full time. Selling now to build out a new van. This van has some quirks, but everything of importance is in good shape. The beauty of vans from this era is that they are so simple and built to be reliable utility vans. It's not uncommon for these engines to exceed 400,000 miles on the original engine so long as they are well taken care of, which this one is. She's been to the moon, now your job is to get her back (when you reach 477,800 miles)! The build highlights - AWD - Mud + snow all season tires - 100Ah UB12100 house battery (made 2021, electrically separated from car battery) - 3x solar panels - Fully insulated - Diesel heater - Refrigerator + freezer - Stove (2x propane burners) - Kitchen cabinet - 2x storage closets - Faucet + sink (5 gallon clean + 5 gallon grey water jugs) - Can carry 4 people with seatbelts - 2 beds (top bed opened by sliding wood plank over hole, back seats fold into second) - Ventilation fan - carbon monoxide + propane detector - Premium Dolby audio - 17mpg The quirks - Driver door handle missing - Passenger door swings open quickly - Driving at high speeds can be a bit loud - Automatic door lock/unlock doesn't work - No ABS (could probably be fixed, but I've never missed it) - Occasionally "Low Catalytic Converter Efficiency" check engine light comes on. Sensor seems faulty as smog passes with no problem. Can clear with ODBII scanner. - Slop in the steering column (common in older vans like these) - Minor surface rust on chassis - Very small oil leak (I just add a little oil every 3 months) - Minor coolant leak (Seems to come from fan housing near the fan shaft seal, just keep an eye on coolant level) Maintenance I've done in the last year: - Plastidip front fender - Replaced all coolant hoses - Replaced AC compressor, condenser, accumulator, evaporator core and recharged AC (no leaks since!) - Added sway bar to improve stability at speed - Replaced shocks - Replaced alternator - Replaced fuel filter - Replaced PCV Valve - Replaced OEM shocks with adjustable ones Prior repairs (by my buddy who modified it from stock form after it was retired from Oregon government use) - Replaced distributor head - Replaced spark plugs - Replaced transmission - Replaced catalytic converter - Rebuilt front end (sway bar, control arms) - Removed rear AC + heat - Added 4" lift - Added steel bumper Receipts available for all repairs since it was retired from Oregon government use.
