Sold - Minivan with light-weight camper conversion kit

Seller's Description

We are selling our minivan at the end of our roadtrip across the USA, before flying back to Europe. Pick up is available from mid- to end of June 2023 in Detroit area (flexible on location- please reach out for more info!). THE VAN The van is a Dodge Grand Caravan 2015 in good condition (a few scratches on the front bumper and right rear view mirror), with recently replaced brake pads (May 2023) and transmission (April 2023). Mileage should be 128 000 by the end of the trip. Fuel consumption averages around 24-25mpg but can go up to 28mpg. It is 2WD with good quality winter tires on front and all-season tires on back. This is a very multi-purpose car, which can be used as a regular 7-seater minivan (the kit can be fully removed from the car in just a few minutes) or as a converted camper. The car currently does not include the back-seats as we removed them to have extra storage, however we can include those seats for an additional cost (to compensate shipping them from their storage space). THE CONVERSION KIT The conversion kit is made of 3/4 inch high quality Baltic Birch plywood. We designed the conversion kit based on existing online model (see https://cad.onshape.com/documents/5a34a297c3c7e13d7e052a8c/w/4326efacb375e4cad01fc4b6/e/f2bafdf64819e7d19595b435?renderMode=0&uiState=63cdea9d0cbe834b358bb57c). It was professionally cut with a CNC router, hand-sanded and assembled with wood glue and nails. We applied 5 layers of polyethylene coating for water and stain resistance. The entire kit can be stacked to minimize the space needed when stored. It can be installed in the van in 15-30 minutes max. Dimensions are 86.835 in long, 9.5 to 14.75 in high, 48 in wide. The kit is made up of 2 large storage units (which also act as benches), a rotating table (which can be lowered to storage level to create a flat surface for the bed), and two rear drawers to store cooking utensils. Removing the back seats provides a lot of additional storage for food and water tanks, in a space that stays relatively cool during the day! A key advantage of this kit is that two middle seats can still be used while travelling. We travelled with a toddler for 4 months and it worked brilliantly!
