Seller's Description

2020 Mercedes-Benz Metris Pop-Top Camper Van Conversion Serious inquiries only, please! Local pick-up (or buyer can arrange transport). Important Details: Metris Model MMCA26 12,000 miles (approximate) Under warranty through 2023 (1 year remaining on new vehicle limited warranty coverage). Additional warranty past 2023 on powertrain, anti-corrosion on air and outer panels, emission performance/control. Full camper conversion completed by Peace Vans Modern in 2019. This beauty has: 2.0 Liter Turbo engine Requires premium gasoline Beautiful forest green (rare color) with black fabric interior The seller (that's me) has all original documentation for all conversion components, original vehicle manuals, etc. For future reference, Peace Vans Modern, who did the conversion, has amazing customer service. Seat heaters for driver and passenger seats (so good on those frosty road trip mornings) Note that Peace Vans uses a different base model for conversions, so you won’t see the version I am selling on their website. The YouTube links to a tour of the model I am selling, with different color choices for interior/exterior, and it gives you a great tour of all the main functions of our green-dream machine. Upgrades I requested in the conversion or have added since: Fully functional manual awning Raised van chassis fits larger wheels if desired Washable seat covers Rain guards for driver and passenger windows (surprisingly awesome feature -- lets the air, but no rain in!) Heavy-duty mats for driver and passenger sides Never-used Dometic 970 Series portable toilet Becker Map Pilot installed Snow socks for existing tires Van cover Conversion technical specs: Victron Energy: blue smart IP65 charter 120V, battery monitor, smart solar charge controller (solar kit is not included; monitoring system only installed). Dometic built-in two-burner propane cooktop that works like a champ. Built-in propane storage for the stove – takes (1) 16 oz steel propane canister Dometic built-in sink with potable water storage tank Dometic refrigerator model, CRP 40 Amerex hand portable fire extinguisher SafeTAlerty smoke and fire alarm Carbon monoxide alarm C.F. Maier Europlast Canvas pop-top + patch kit Custom curtains for all windows Custom cabinetry Maintenance + Service: All oil changes and regular maintenance are up-to-date. I am happy to provide records upon request. Camping in the van: Driver and passenger seats swivel (Passenger seat 180 degrees). The table is stored in the latched back compartment underneath the sleeping pad Tables installed can swing inside outside for indoor/outdoor dining or food prep – also great when it’s cold or it is raining, and you don’t want to meal prep outside. The awning provides excellent shade for sunny camping and rain coverage for fall or winter camping. “Downstairs” bed is roughly the equivalent of a full-size and measures 79" long and 46" wide at the back and 43" at the front. “Upstairs” bed (pop-top) has weight limits and requires some agility to get up and down. Also roughly the equivalent of full size and is better for a taller person as it’s longer than the downstairs bed. Kids (and those young at heart) love sleeping in the upstairs bed – very cozy and magical at night. Keep the upstairs bed lifted for extra headroom in the daytime and bring it down at night for sleeping. Storage includes two kitchen drawers, a roller-top kitchen cabinet with two shelves, a pull-out drawer under the bench seat, lots of nooks and crannies for drinks, a “closet” with mesh covering, and a rail for hanging clothes, two cabinets in the rear of the vehicle and a large storage area under the rear of the bench seat and behind the bench seat. Stove + sink provides easy, functional meal prep. Note: this conversion doesn’t have water hookups. Dimmer lights above the kitchen are a great feature. Reading lights on the passenger side allow for bright light for reading or organizing. Curtains provide full privacy for all “downstairs” windows. Existing wear: The rear of the awning has a small crack in the casing. Doesn’t impact the usability or function of the awning (an oak tree and I had a disagreement. The oak tree won). When I was first learning how to close the pop-top, I missed a few critical parts of the process. As a result, a few very small tears in the tent from improper storage can easily be fixed with a patch kit. I will include the patch kit with all the documentation. Small cosmetic dent in the front right passenger side from a low-speed minor collision (a slow-moving icy slide into another car) that did not impact vehicle operation. Buyer to do due diligence on a safety inspection. The curtains are in great condition, and a manufacturing flaw makes it difficult to keep them attached to the hooks. I removed the sliding door for a drop-down cabinet door that Peace Vans installed because wasn’t really practical – it kept getting stuck on bedding and gear, so it was essentially unusable. Peace Vans removed the door, and I replaced it with high-stretch webbing installed with an easily customizable hook-and-eye system. If you watched the YouTube video, you’ll see the drop-down cabinet door we asked Peace Vans to remove. Purchasing: To protect both myself and the buyer, I am only interested in selling via a bank or credit union-led transaction. Test drive: If you'd like to see the van in person and/or take it for a test drive, please message me via the app.I won't move conversations to email or text for privacy and security reasons. Why am I selling? I purchased this camper van at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 to travel (more) safely to my father, who required full-time care. Unfortunately, due to pandemic-related global manufacturing delays, the van wasn’t completed until after my father passed away in December 2020. I’m the sole owner of the van and have taken it on 6 road trips in California and Oregon and occasionally city-driving when I needed a second vehicle. As much as I love her, she isn’t practical for me personally. I had grand visions of quick weekends away, and life required something else of me in the years after my dad died. I hope she is purchased by a loving person or family who will treat her to the fun, joy-filled adventures she deserves and is made for!
