1989 VW Vanagon with Subaru conversion

Been living full time in this vanagon since December 2020. It’s in great condition; newly replaced engine and a lot of work done on it within the past year. Very practical for living in/traveling/cooking/sleeping. The kitchen set up and the pop top are absolute game changers. Body has about 145000 miles on it but it was a rebuilt Subaru EJ25 engine with roughly 60,000. Really cool and practical interior with wood floors, floral paneling, and rubber mats in the front. 2 beds: 1 in the back and 1 up in the pop top. House battery for camping needs. Comfortable swiveling seats; great for road trips or converting it into a hangout zone when you plop down at a spot for the night. Great stereo system. Got new shocks and brakes in January 2021. 4 new tires in summer, 2021. New starter, May, 2022. New steering rack, wheel bearings, brakes, and alignment in July, 2022. Replaced the engine, timing belt, and throttle cable in October, 2022. I have all the paperwork from these repairs available to see. Issues/projects: - Odometer has been broken for about a year. It reads 131 but by my estimation the actual mileage is around 145. - AC/heat and fog lights are not set up; I think they could be easily fixed I just haven’t had the need to do so - Dent in the front bumper where I hit a telephone pole. Not great, but it hasn’t caused any other damage. (On the bright side, this incident did go to show how great these bumpers are) - Crack in the front windshield (I’m working on getting the windshield replaced, so it might be fixed by the time you check it out) - No fridge; I keep a propane tank for the stove in the area where the fridge is and found I haven’t needed a fridge. You could easily put one in if you wanted. - The window tint is peeling in a couple areas. - The latch that’s supposed to hold the spare tire to the undercarriage is broken, so I’ve been fastening it with paracord, which is kind of sketchy. I would recommend mounting it on the back or fixing that latch. All in all, this car’s in great shape. It’s been such a joy to be able to cruise around and live in this van; I’m hoping to find someone who’ll be as stoked about it as I am. Feel free to text, call, or email.
