Seller's Description
Clean title VIN 3C6LRVDG8ME508230 This is a great setup for a couple, family of 3, or a single person who takes buddies along. Especially good for cyclists or adventurers. We call it basecamp. We will consider trades. This van can be used full time as-is and can be further customized. It's an excellent base with room for expansion. I purchased it new from a Utah Ram dealer in February 2021. The interior was professionally installed by Wayfarer Vans in Colorado Springs, CO. Highlights • Ram basic warranty expires Feb 10, 2024 or 36k miles; powertrain warranty expires Feb 10, 2026 or 60k miles • RV Package (dual swivel seats, LED ambient lighting, premium appearance, shelf above seats, rear heater and A/C prep package, locking glove box, auxiliary switches, class 4 receiver hitch, heated power folding mirrors, speed/cruise control, leather steering wheel, rear park assist system, blind spot, cross path detection) • Interior components (bins, galley, bed, 3rd seat) can be easily reconfigured without tearing things out because they are attached using an L-Track system • 300W solar (Renogy panels, Victron controller) • 300-amp hour battery bank (Battle Born LiFePO4 batteries) • 2000W inverter (Renogy) • Iceco 52-quart fridge on sliding, 3 position locking roller • Rear view / front view camera w/ SD card memory (can use as security system to record when away from the van) • MaxxAir vent (10 speed, auto program, air in or out, remote control), internal cover to keep heat and sunshine out • Queen bed, 8" memory foam (60" by 75") • Portable air conditioning (Zero Breeze) with remote control (used 4 times) • Inline propane water heater with shower head and boondocking setup (can use any water source) (Joolca) (used 4 times) • Pop up privacy tent • Dimmable LED lights (4 in main cabin, 2 in garage) • Cork insulation in floor channels • Black out blinds (pitch black at night, dark during the day) • 2-sided window coverings • Window vents (for air flow at night) • K&N engine air filter (wash and reuse) • 3M rubberized coating on underside of van • C-channel roof rack (allows for customization and easy add-ons) • Moonshade awning (I installed metal loops on the roof rack to quickly connect to, but I also have 4 suction cups that came with it) • Van cover • 5-gallon kitchen galley fresh water container, 5-gallon grey water container • Extra L-track connections • Bug netting on sliding door and rear doors. Both can be rolled up. Includes extra sliding door screen. • Bike stand mounted inside rear door • Running boards • Sliding door track stop (allows door to be propped open partially) • SumoSprings front and rear • Front bumper LED lights • 2 burner induction cooktop • Tinted windows Sleeping • bed platform can be lowered by 4” (currently fits mountain bikes underneath) and can be tilted for a relaxed sitting position (when using the Wayfarer bed pads, which means removing the queen size bed) Insulation/Walls The wall panels and ceiling panels can be quickly removed making retrofitting or customizing simple. The entire van is insulated with Havelock wool. I installed sound dampening sheets in the entire van. 3rd Seat The NHTSA legal, safety tested, 3rd seat (car seat compatible) can be flipped up, removed, or uninstalled with 7 bolts if you don’t want it all. Wayfarer Kit The Wayfarer kit doesn't use much material, so the van is lighter and more spacious than many other builds. • Wool insulation on the ceiling and walls • Tweed upholstery/insulated coverings for the odd shaped spaces • C-Channel bed frame (strong and can attach accessories to the bottom in the garage area) • Bench seats (with pads) that double as storage (big enough for a dry flush toilet) • Durable skid resistant rubberized flooring • Easy to clean walls and ceilings • Slide out dining table • Kitchen galley with removable sink cover/cutting board Wayfarer is constantly coming out with new add-ons and there are many existing, such as cabinets, boxes, propane heaters, etc. Electrical System The system is based on professionally designed schematics. I verified each component setup/connection with the manufacturers (i.e., I called each manufacturer directly, such as Battle Born and Victron. Yes, really.). I had a professional electrician validate it. Components are top of the line. The system can handle much more than we use it for (e.g., add electric faucet, more 12v outlets, 110v outlets, more lights, etc.) . I have primarily used solar to charge the batteries, but with the DCDC charger, you can use the van battery and alternator if the sun isn’t out for several days (just flip a switch). I installed wiring loom throughout the van so that adding additional wires is easier. • 300 amp hour lithium iron phosphate battery bank (Battle Born) • 3*100 watt polycrystalline solar panel array (Renogy) • 2000 watt power inverter (for use with AC devices) (Renogy) • DC to DC charger (Victron) • Solar controller (Victron) • Smart Shunt (Victron) Storage There are overhead storage shelves with bungy straps for clothing and dry goods. They hold plenty of clothes for an active week on the road. In the garage area, I built a simple shelf system from plywood. I modified it a few times and haven't settled on a design, so that's why it looks partially complete. It’s easy to completely remove if you want your own system. Flooring I adding new carpet and padding last summer to give our baby a place crawl. It's very comfortable to walk on, and we’re clean freaks, but if you want the bare floor I can remove those in just a few minutes. Gas I drive conservatively (i.e., rarely take it over 3k rpm unless on a hill, don't floor it out of red lights, don't gas-brake drive). My last road trip was from Salt Lake City, UT to Flagstaff, AZ (~500 miles one way). I got 18.8 mpg. That includes city driving, idling, etc. • 3.6L V6 • 6 speed • 220 amp alternator • 5k lbs towing capacity (tow hitch, trailer hookups installed) • Pre-wired from Ram for additional components (roof top air conditioning, air compressor, etc.) • Back up camera • Crosswind assist • Hill start assist • Traction control • Brake assist • Electronic roll mitigation • Trailer sway damping • Steering wheel-mounted audio controls • Power windows with one-touch down • Cargo lamps • 260-degree opening rear doors • Full-size spare tire • Bluetooth • Tow/Haul overdrive • Front-wheel drive • Heat/AC • Voice command
