All of the major materials (wool insulation, bamboo walls and floor, etc) are environmentally friendly. Even the paint has no VOCs! I spent several years doing research and the build to make sure I got things just right. I wanted to convert the van into a space that had features more similar to what you would find in an apartment to make the space as livable and functional as possible (things like extra outlets or even a closet make a big difference in comfortability). The entire system is electric (no propane-so much safer!) and was installed by a professional auto electric company which specializes in RV and ambulance builds. Something that sets Sally apart from other van conversions is her battery bank - 4 Battle Born lithium batteries - that charge via the alternator while driving or idling. You can also plug in via a regular 120V plug OR a 30amp RV hookup if you’re planning on staying in one place for a while. I lived in her for about a year while travel nursing- she could use some aesthetic finishing touches but is completely live-in ready as is. My van life journey has come to an end, but I’m looking for someone who wants to keep Sally’s adventure going!
