This is a custom DIY camper van named Rex. Rex is a cozy and comfortable van that is perfect for a quick getaway or an epic cross country adventure! Not only is Rex beautiful inside and out but he is easy to drive and his build makes him a very stealthy camper. We purchased Rex a few years ago from the original owner and builder. You can see the care and attention to detail in their thoughtful layout and functionality throughout the design. Rex has been to many parts of the country and to many national parks. We have taken Rex on short weekend trips and month long trips. He’s been great for both! ABOUT THE VAN -Current Mileage: 60,000 -Clean Title in hand. Fully paid (no lien). -Van drives and handles very well, no mechanical issues. -Regular oil changes and maintenance conducted as needed. Inspected and oil changed June 2023 -Fluids replaced regularly -New front tires July 2023, back tires in good condition -4.0 liter V-6 engine, produces 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque -5 speed automatic transmission with optional manual shift mode -Cruise control and audio controls on steering wheel -CD player and Aux inputs in stereo. -Custom screen door on side of van. Keeps out all bugs, very strong magnet closure for easy entry. Has zippers around it for easy removal. INTERIOR Insulation: Entire van, including all doors other than driver and passenger front doors are insulated with a combination of ECO-wool, formular 250 boards, and reflective. This van is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Bathroom: Indoor portable toilet and outdoor solar-heated shower that can be used at the back of the van. Electrical System: 12V, USB, and 110v charging ports on our pure sine wave 3000w inverter. 100W solar panel which charges an AMG battery. There is a second backup charge available when the vehicle is driving so you can charge all your appliances while you’re on the go. Living Space: Back bench seats fold out into a large and comfortable bed. 2 people can sleep on the larger folded out bed, or the benches can stay separated for two individual sleeping spaces. There is plenty of storage space underneath each of the benches. There is also additional storage in the cupboards above the bed. There is a nice window on the driver side rear panel. In addition there is an exhaust/intake fan in the roof to help keep the space cool in summer. The passenger side bed also folds up into a table, perfect for a work station or games. Kitchen: Multiple cooking options are available. A propane stove is accessible in a unique drawer that open outside the van, but also under the awning, so you can stay dry even if the weather wont cooperate. The stove can also be operated inside the van, or you can use an electric cooktop running off the inverter. The sink is run off of an electric water pump and uses two 5 gallon water jugs to supply water to the van (1 clean, 1 waste). Also included is a 5 gallon fresh water tank with a re-chargeable battery pump. This jug can be filled with purified water at most major grocery chains and Wal-Marts. The kitchen also contains a small fridge that can be powered off of either the vans engine while running, or the vans solar system. Other: There is additional storage in the kitchen area above the sink as well as in the cabinets. Seats have nice covers. There is additional storage space under both the driver and passenger seats. Custom magnet closing mosquito net on sliding door. LED mood lighting. Awning is an entirely self contained system and can be set up/broken down in about 5 minutes. There are a few smaller dents but overall the van is in good condition. We have loved our time with Rex. He has been everything we wanted in a camper van and more.
