Seller's Description

Note that this van will now be driven from Playa del Carmen, Mexico to Austin, Texas to be sold – so the mileage will go up. It will arrive on Oct 10th. This van was lovingly converted by the prior (first) owners in 2019. It was originally purchased as an empty cargo van. After customizing it, they drove it from Vancouver, B.C. to Mexico and back – then I drove it from Seattle to Mexico. I love this van so much, but it’s time to let it go and make someone else’s dreams come true. Initial customizations: Full-size bed platform with headboard – can comfortably sleep someone 6 feet tall With built-in shoe rack, custom fitted storage crates that double as a kitchen table, side shelving (with doors, so they’re cabinets) and under-bed space, this van has a ridiculous amount of storage Cabinets along the bed are on the passenger side, with more storage underneath them and a row of crates above them for more easily viewable and accessible storage Additional storage between two front seats Small sink with foot pump for water (used 7-gallon water tank but you can choose whatever size you like - mine started leaking so I ditched it - i haven't replaced it in case you want a different size) Top-opening 12v refrigerator for energy efficiency 2-burner camping stove built into the door, so you can choose to cook inside or outside depending on weather/mood! Interior is lined with beautiful wooden planks along ceiling and walls and insulated with genuine wool Recessed ceiling lights Magnetic reflective mats to cover back windows (cooling and privacy) Roof fan There are two batteries – one for the engine and one for the auxiliary (lights, fan and fridge in back) – auxiliary battery charges while you drive Your phone can plug into the sound system (aux cable) Van has alarm, of course The back is accessible from front seats (safe consideration); privacy curtains right behind seats What I’ve added: Long/low profile Yakima storage pod with roof rack (approx. $800) Darkest-possible tinting on windows for cooling and privacy (including sunstrip on windshield), sound deadening in 2 front doors, 2 rear doors, & 3rd door passenger side; 4 new tires (all of this was $3,200) I have all receipts for everything (including from prior owners and all manuals, too) Very comfortable organic latex mattress with organic mattress cover and air circulation mattress underlay (total was approx $370). Bed has been slept in 5 times total – most places I drove in Mexico were too hot for van sleeping. Please indicate whether you are interested in the mattress because I may keep it. More soundproofing below cabinets for extra quieting Ladder that fits inside, to access Yakima pod New battery (primary/engine, not auxiliary). I also just had it serviced this week for the trip to Texas (air filters, oil change etc – have that paperwork available as well). Faux sheepskin seat covers (comfy and protect original seating but you can of course remove them) Has been stored with moisture-absorption packets inside, to keep everything dry in a humid climate (no leaks in van, just for humidity in the air) Cons: Sadly, the van has received a few minor cosmetic scrapes on its adventures. I can send you pics. Also, prior owners had installed a “separator” between the two auxiliary batteries and the engine battery. A couple months ago, this stopped working properly. You could have this restored – I had a kill switch installed instead. So, I manually attach the batteries when I want them connected. When I’m not using the van, I keep them disconnected. I have all manuals/original info for the separator, so you can review for yourself and see if you want to get it working properly again.
