Red Dawn, named after the 1984 movie classic with Patrick Swayze, was inspired by the enchanting beauty of New Mexico. Real-time inspiration can be documented in this professional music studio on wheels. As a traveling musician and author, Red Dawn has been an epic dream come true. Our time with Red Dawn has inspired an abundance of art and music. It has been deeply loved and appreciated. We loved designing, building (in collaboration with a builder), and traveling in this van, but ended up moving into a city where it didn’t make sense for us to have it anymore, so we are excited to pass it to a new owner. It has enormous power capacity and production for a camper van, as well as shatter-proof windows, radiant floor heat, a shower, a studio-quality audio system, a sit-stand desk with hidden air-conditioned storage space underneath, and a connected air-conditioned closet, a recirculating water system that can also filter water from natural sources, and high-quality, beautiful, non-toxic building materials throughout. FEATURING: LIVING ROOM/ LOUNGE & BEDROOM: Two large, solid live-edge maple countertops, one of which is an adjustable sit-stand desk with large, air-conditioned storage space underneath Clear vertical grain cedar siding with Havelock wool insulation throughout The ceilings are high enough to comfortably accommodate a 6’1 human (pictured).
