Seller's Description

**1998 AWD GMC Safari Sleeper Van w Solar Panels** I've had this van for two years now and it took me through an incredible, 4-month, 44k mile road trip during Covid. It's been my occasional commuter for almost a year but it's better as a road vehicle, and right now will need new brake lines and calipers and for the rear brakes, and work to get the A/C going again. Repairs were estimated at ~$4,000 for everything. It has A 30A solar battery that powers 4 DC outlets in the rear of the van (with converters included for normal plugs), and one underrated feature is that this van can park anywhere. No need for a national park reservation, just park by the lodge overnight. It includes: - 4 Bike Thule swing-out Bike Rack ($600+ value) - Fold out trays on the back door for standing and grilling or working - Roof vent to help manage heat, and ceiling light also powered by the solar panels with flip-switches by the side door - Pull out futon bed/couch set-up with 12" thick memory foam mattress - Wood-panel insulation and plenty of shelving and storage for food, clothes, toiletries, trinkets... - Roof rack is still accessible although over the solar panels - AWD - 2 Solar Panels on the roof powering a 30A battery in the rear (packs more than needed for laptop and phone charging so it's perfect for working remote or weekend trips. I worked remote when I was using it.) - 4 DC outlets with inverters inside in the rear (for cooking, charging gadgets, etc. without using van battery) Other Details: - Replaced engine. It starts and runs great and has 4 years / 40k miles left under warranty. 90k miles currently - If you wanted, you could lift it 3 inches just to enhance the suspension but it has all new shocks from about a month or so ago. Receipts available I love this van but I'm not taking any more long trips so I'm looking to switch to something more practical. Hate to see it go but hope it gets some good use!
