I have tried to build this van myself. I am not a carpenter so everything is built for function not fashion. 2008 Dodge Sprinter 6 cylinder diesel I have replaced the infamous “Y” cable. Replaced starter Replaced alternator About to get new tires (inspection) Replaced EGR valv (still has basic EGR codes) Vent fan (max air) AC (Coleman) 2-160 watt solar panels Mppt charge controller 2000 W inverter 3 - 100 Ah generic SLA batteries Shore power connection and converter to charge solar batteries. Double bed 6” Swedish foam mattress Dometic CFX 55 frig Self contained box for propane tank Foot pump for water at sink. (Just a tub hut have a steel sink I might install with 5 gallon grey water tank 16 gallon fresh water tank It does have an EGR code setting off the check engine light. That in turn kicks it in to limp mode every now and then. My scan tool clears the code and can even do it while driving. I keep tinkering with the issue but it does not slow me down. Update: 8/02/22 2 new front tires, new exhaust pipe, rear brake shoes and pads, 1 new rear brake rotor, 2 new coolant hoses. Update: 8/30/2022 Fixed/replaced 7 ft of exhaust pipe. Bought ($600) a higher quality (OEM) EGR valve and no limp mode no check engine light.!! Oil and filter changes as well Bank has the title but that is easy to deal with.
