We did all of the work ourselves (except for CR Laurence windows and Espar D2 heater install—completed by Freedom Vans in Bellingham, WA). The materials, layout, and design were heavily researched and approached with great care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. We’ve made some incredible memories in this van, exploring the Pacific Northwest on weekend adventures and doing longer multi-state road trips, but our changing lifestyle dictates it’s time for us to move on. It will be bittersweet to pass our beloved camper van down to new owners who will be able to appreciate and care for it as much as we have. This van has the 4-cylinder engine which, for a lot of people, is the more desirable Sprinter engine. It gets fantastic fuel economy (21-24mpg, 18% fuel-efficiency savings over the V6) and we’ve never found it to be lacking in power. It gets us up mountain passes with ease, and the 7-speed transmission practically drives itself on the way down. The vehicle has been dealer-serviced and maintained over the course of its life thus far. Both the airbag and emissions recalls have been taken care of and are up to date. There is a lot of life left on the 10-year, 75K extended warranty and plenty of peace of mind that comes with the pre-paid service plan, both transferable to the new owner. Buyer will be responsible for running power to the heater. Our intention was to power this with the Goal Zero Yeti 1000 but we were unable to complete this project before it came time to sell. Some research may be necessary to confirm the ability to power with Goal Zero Yeti 1000, but other options exist for power including running off of vehicle starter battery or installing an additional aux battery.
