2014 Ram Promaster 3500 high roof. 159” wheelbase. 3.6liter V6 engine. 100k miles. Purchased in 2022 from the original owner in Florida and converted by us. Clean frame, NO rust!! We have spent the past 2 months and 12,000 miles living in this van. We built it with the overall outcome being to sell it after our adventure. Todd is a carpenter with 13 years in the trade, and it was built with passion and care. At the beginning of our trip, at roughly 87k miles, we replaced both cv axles, the two front struts assemblies, the thermostat, 2 new front brake rotors. The body has Kilmat sound deadening against the metal. It is insulated with rockwool and covered with Intello, a smart vapor membrane, to keep moisture out of the walls. The walls and ceiling are tongue and grooved pine. Walls are primed on all sides and ceiling is stained and polyurethaned on all sides. Cabinets, doors, and drawers are custom built. The butcher block countertop is custom built with maple, birch, cherry, and rosewood. The van has 5 locking drawers, a water systems cabinet under the sink, a slide out fridge drawer, a large closet with separate shelf for stove stowaway, and 4 upper cabinets all in the main living space. In the Garage (storage space under the bed) there is a space for our dog crate that could be transformed a number of ways, the electrical components built around a wheel well, and much room for storage. The water system runs with a d/c pump through refillable 5 gallon bottles, with a 6 gallon removable grey water tank. It has a 2.5 gallon electric hot water heater that is run off of the a/c power when the inverter is on. The Electric consists of 224Ah Fullriver gel batteries. It is charged by both 300watts of rooftop solar and a battery isolator that runs off the alternator when the engine is on. There is a dc fuse panel with many open slots. D/C runs the water pump, LED undercabinet strip lighting, ceiling puck lights, a 12v Dometic fridge, 2 FanTastic roof fans, and USB outlets. This van was built for our adventure and we loved the comfort. Also includes: back up camera, passenger swivel seat, sun reflector, and insulated window covers for all windows and fans.
