I have all records from our open-checkbook approach to maintaining this vehicle over the last few years. This is pre-DEF. No DEF needed for this Sprinter, which presents simplified emissions system and higher reliability at the expense of less environmentally friendly emissions on more modern Diesel engines. 144 inch wheelbase, parks in normal sized parking spot. Dually (two tires per side in the rear). 188,xxx miles and driving regularly. Built out as an ideal weekend getaway by serial van builder in Colorado who rented this on Outdoorsy for $1,400 a month. After 2 years of that, we bought it and lived in it full time for a year (albeit with access to shore power, shower and restrooms and a private office) with minor upgrades from the original builder to improve insulation and batteries. We used the same shop the builder used to service the van, from brakes to shocks to replacing an ABS module to a replaced turbo manifold when it cracked. Open checkbook maintenance. Last trips Spring 2022 have been NC to Florida and NC to Rome, Georgia, used for camping at aviation events. Then we moved to a house in NC and our usage as simply a daily driver no longer justifies keeping "Relentless". 18k miles and a lot of great memories later, it is time to offer up Relentless to someone who needs a used sprinter van at a price point lower than the $80-100k wonder builds. We specifically liked this van because it was a budget build with well-thought out ergonomics due to it being built by a serial professional builder now based in Berthoud, CO. These batteries protect themselves from a low voltage damage condition or overcharge scenario by disconnecting themselves until external power is applied. Solar 200W in great condition. Well done wiring and service ergonomics in compartment under bed. 16 gal onboard water, electric pump. Bed converts to pub-style bench seating. Freshly overhauled and tested diesel heater. Works perfectly. 2000W inverter. Runs fridge and has outlets to plug in laptop, electric heaters, you name it. External shore power plug. Max air fan. Composting Toilet stores under bench seat at sliding door entrance. Easy to use and and recently checked and re-chemical, but we never used it under our ownership. Good insulation. New water filter installed under sink February 2022. Removable Water heater for shower hookup Spare water pump drop in replacement. Custom high quality blackout shades. Easy to stow and put up with velcro. Gay inside, white reflective outside for cooling. Sliding screen windows. Bluetooth audio aftermarket headunit with microphone for phone calls. No roof leaks. Bulkhead slides shut and provides both privacy and protection in the event of an accident. Front seats do not swivel. Only seats two with seat belts. Overhead storage with gas struts. Small propane tank feeds stove. We cooked daily in this with great success.
