Up for sale is my 1992 Toyota Hiace Commuter Ambulance. It might be hard to believe that the odometer reads 7740km(4800miles!) but after tooling around in it, and taking it on the road a couple times, I believed it. It’s in immaculate condition. With the pleather seats looking as if they just came out of the factory. My guess is that it was a second or third line ambulance in Japan so it rarely saw any(if any) action. With it’s fuel injected 2.4l 2rze engine and ECT (electronically controlled transmission), it drives like a dream. While idling, it barely sounds as if the engine is on. It can handle highway speeds with ease and has ample mirrors to make navigation a breeze. It will make for the perfect camper conversion. This trim level of Hiace comes with a high roof and extended chassis, and even has a metal step on the back to make getting in and out through the trunk a breeze. All of the medical components can be simply unbolted leaving it’s owner ample space to create the camper of their dreams. As far as maintenance goes, it really doesn’t need anything. I did the oil and oil filter(easily purchasable anywhere around town) and everything else is so ridiculously clean. It must have been stored in a garage because there isn’t a single sign of wear on the components or anything resembling rust.
