Seller's Description
I bought this campervan two years ago from the original upfitter in Denver, and have been living in it full time while traveling the country and working remotely during the pandemic. It's been an incredible adventure, but everything has to come to an end eventually! The best overview of the vehicle is going to be this short video walkthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoIt_NSCZWA It's in good shape, with an upgraded stereo, (including Android Auto and Apple Carplay) a backup camera, and factory options that you don't always see on vans from this era, like cruise control. You can absolutely move in immediately and start your own adventure, or make your own upgrades first. There are a few pieces of deferred work on external systems (side mirror, paint, running light, and wiper assembly) but the Mercedes powertrain in these vehicles is legendarily solid, and full maintenance records are included, including from before I owned the vehicle. This model year (2006) is the last year that doesn't have the emission control changes that were required starting in 2007, making it much simpler and more reliable than later model vehicles, and it doesn't require DEF, unlike vehicles from 2010 onward. The vehicle is reasonably efficient, getting about 20 mpg. The 200 watts of solar power are more than enough to run all of the van's systems (water pump, fridge, lights, fans, etc.) and also support a remote work setup, including a laptop and mobile hotspot. The elevated bed allows bikes to fit in the back without compromising on stealth or security. The professionally-installed propane heating system (including a propane detector) works well, even when the temperature outside is below zero, and the dual fans can keep the interior comfortable even when temps rise, making for a great four-season experience. The vehicle is currently in the Los Angles area, but delivery to nearby cities can be arranged. I'm happy to answer any questions about the vehicle, or about my time/experience with it! Serious offers welcome.
