Seller's Description
This van has served my wife, our dogs, and me well for the past 5 years on everything from quick overnight trips to multi-week international trips. I’m the second owner of the vehicle, which I purchased in 2017 with 30k miles on the clock. Other than some minor dings and scrapes (narrow forest roads!) the vehicle is in great shape, mechanically. I did the conversion, with the main goal of maximizing both living and storage space and not engineering too many overly complicated systems. Key features: - FWD: This van does great in snow and off-road because of its front-wheel drivetrain, short wheelbase, and (relatively) light weight. - Heater: Webasto Airtop 2000st heater (no propane! draws from the vehicle fuel tank) - Insulation: 3M Thinsulate - Fridge: Isotherm cruise 49 dc refrigerator & freezer - Ventilation: Maxxair fan (the nice one, with rain cover and remote) - Venting window in sliding door - Water: 14 gallons of fresh water fed with a foot pump (2 x 7-gallon jerry cans under sink). The benefit of this compared to one large tank is that you can refill them literally anywhere, including at grocery stores. No searching for a hose hookup! Gray water drains externally, plumbed through a factory hole. - DC Power System: Powered by two 135 ah AGM batteries and recharged via the van’s alternator. The charge controller I installed is solar-ready, so you could add panels easily if you plan to do extended stays without moving the vehicle. We have never needed solar because we tend to drive between trailheads, campsites, etc. at least every 2-3 days. Plus, the electrical loads are minimal. - USB Charging: 4 USB outlets in galley 2 near head of bead - Lighting: Recessed LEDs in the main living area, under-cabinet lights in the galley, and touch-activated, dimmable reading lights above the bed. LED light strip in the "garage." -Tons of storage: The garage is set up for 2 bikes and anything else you could possibly need to move. There’s a pass-through to the main linking space to make transporting long items a breeze (surfboards, lumber, whatever). Plus, the bed, bike rack, bench seat, and heater housing can all be removed in about 15 minutes and—Shazam!—you’ve got a moving/work van. - Bike storage is SUPER fast and easy: Just push the rear tire in for a friction fit. Front tires stow above, on the underside of the bed frame. - Trailer hitch + towing hookups - Cooper AT/3 tires w/ lots of life left in them - Extras: Recovery tracks + strap, Lynx Levelers (leveling blocks)
