Seller's Description
Off the bat, this stuff is rustic & DIY, not too fancy, but it's surely economical. <3 Listed price is just the van- I keep stuff I can keep using. If you'd like all the things listed below (that aren't bolted down), I have to charge closer to $7300. It's all negotiable. I'm friendly and flexible. If you're in the bay area, I'll deliver and we can test drive. I'm the registered owner and I've got all my service records. The paintjob is pretty torn up, there's dings and dents and scratches. It's an old caltrans van. There's no A/C or passenger airbag. The backup cam and cassette aux cord rule. I feel I've had great fuel economy but I top it off every $30 or so. I bought it and fixed it up, spent a lot on repairs. Never used it much - it's time to move on for me. * Brand new battery, aftermarket catalytic converter with anti-theft brace, new fuel pump. replaced a lot of locks and the ignition. * The water tank is a blue Reliance Aquatainer, the toilet is a never-used 3.5 gamma lid bucket with compost bags & pool noodle lid - sort of a kitty litter cassette. * The solar panels are big house panels and the sink is a camelbak mounted over a small handmade sink with a small grey water tank. The charge controllers are cheap, but reliable. I redid some of the wiring. Includes a carbon monoxide detector and a coleman stove, with rack on the back door. * There's also a hardcore light bar that I removed, and a computer monitor on a moving bar that I put in. * Full size bed frame is welded in- three yellowtop storage containers fit under with room to spare. * There's 2 layers of diy carpeting below, some insulation in the frame, and insulation under plywood on the ceiling, with mounted AA battery tap lights. * There's a seatbelt installed between the driver and passenger seats, but I'll probably be taking the crate it seats out, it's not really ideal. * It runs OK as long as you give it some gas on a cold start, the mechanic says it's as good as it gets. I'd rather trade for a smaller and equally not-mint 'fixer-upper' or an old blank-slate work-van than sell it for money. HMU with any questions, please. I was planning on putting a computer desk in, but that's not necessary. It's got a FNORD sticker over the front emblem if that moves you.
