Seller's Description

****PRICE DROP MOTIVATED SELLER!!!!****Dropped $10k from $39k to $29k!!!! With a heavy heart I am offering up The Romad 3000 for sale. The Romad 3000 is a 100% off grid capable solar powered one of a kind rig. It took exactly 1 year to the day to be built. It took over 6000 man hours to build, it was worked on 7 days a week for 365 days. It is registered as an RV and titled as such as well. I have clean and clear title in hand. I'll list what all it has and I'll answer any questions. So with that it is a 2006 Ford E-450 with the 6.0 Diesel motor with some bulletproofing items. Just had a trans service and I added a degas gauge. It's also had a recent coolant flush and oil change. It has 6 brand new tires from Walmart and they're an aggressive AT tire w/less than 800miles on them paid $1300. The Romad exterior paint is OD Green and has diamond plate around windows and other areas. It has a bull bumper on the front and a custom deck built onto the back that I hauled my 2021 Harley Davidson Pan America but can be used for anything. I also just installed a 21 seer Mini Split Heat Pump and A/C unit a month ago that was $1400. It has (4) - 395w Monochristaline Panels that are I believe 19% efficient. They are attached to the roof and have custom skirting around 3 sides riveted on that provide protection from flying off at highway speeds. That is tied into a 12 cell battery bank out of a Nissan leaf EV going into a MPP solar all in one charge controller, inverter and transfer switch. Interior has all LED lighting, the kitchen area has 3 custom small board and batter doors one houses a laundry hamper, one the trash can and the 3rd the cleaning supplies, 10.1cf refrigerator and freezer, upper kitchen cabinet, butcher block countertop with a new induction cooktop recessed into the counter, LED track lighting fully adjustable with 3 heads, Kohler black composite double sink with a Moen restaurant style faucet. The countertop also has an actuator built in and I have a brand new Samsung QLED 4k smart tv that by remote control rises and sinks into the countertop for when you're traveling you lower it and then when stopped you can with the press of a button have it raise out of the cabinet. It has a matching Samsung Q60 surround sound with wireless subwoofer under the couch and it rocks. It has a 6' couch that slides out to make a double bed and also hides 2 floor safes to store valuables. The walls and ceiling are done in repurposed barn board and boards from a pre civil war farmhouse and barn in Virginia. They have been whitewashed to give a light and open feel. New life proof flooring. The kitchen area has small aluminum subway tiles as the wall and backsplash. All windows were removed and I installed new Jeld Wen horizontal sliding vinyl windows double pane with screens. The outside around the windows is trimmed out with diamond plate painted to match. The bus was insulated with the hard 1" foam panels and spray foam around windows and gaps. It retains heat and AC well. The emergency hatch was deleted and in it's place I installed a solar powered attic fan/skylight. The bathroom has an RV cassette toilet with a 30x30 shower stall that is done in stamped faux aluminum panels and a Moen showerhead. The bathroom also has a exhaust fan/LED light/speaker combo that is app run by phone or Google home. I just built a closet with custom shelves built and a small mechanics tool box with everything needed for on the road repairs. It has a back bedroom that has a custom built barn door on sliding rail. It has a purple mattress and a remote controlled adjustable bedframe that is 18" off the floor to provide under bed storage. It has a 2.5 gal hot water storage tank/insta hot hot water heater, a GE whole house smart water filter with online monitoring for leaks and filter change. It has a ring spotlight camera mounted on the side door which is a solid wood oak door with a Kwikset Halo fingerprint deadbolt. The entire bus is a smart bus run by Google home. It also has light darkening shades that are operated by remote control as well along with app run. It just had rear brake, tail and turn signals cut out and in their place it received led's along with led strips along the back deck, headlights were upgraded to LED as well. Just installed a 10.1" headunit with gps, video front dash cam and rearview camera. It does not have storage tanks for water or wastewater as I didn't get those installed in time. The water system is all 1/2" PEX with extra fittings and crimp tool as well as a few shark bite fittings. It has a basic butane/propane stove and an air fryer. The drivers area has a Quadlock phone mount. Thats about all I can think of right now but it's an awesome bus built to bug out and live off-grid if needed. I drove it from Oregon where it was bought and built to Sturgis motorcycle rally and is currently in-between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I drove it a few thousand miles across country with ZERO issues. I have receipts for the majority of the build as well as instruction and warranty manuals. I didn't take a tremendous amount of build pics but I have plenty enough to show the build. This bus is not hard to see that it was done right as I'm an engineer and over builder. I know every screw that was put into this bus as it was completed 100% by me. I have well over the asking price in labor and materials so I am open for negotiation but do not insult me with low ball offers. It can be started and driven ANYWHERE right now. Needs nothing but a new owner who will love it and enjoy it as me and my dog Jake have enjoyed it. It could use as minor trim work here and there but it's as solid of a bus as you will find anywhere. PS I repurposed the bus seat frames and cut and welded them to make the ladder on the side and I also repurposed the original bifold bus door as a cool shelf in the bedroom. It's one of a kind and #builtnotbought $39k obo
