I started this build with the intent of completing and traveling full time. A change of employer and a new home purchase have changed my plans. My time and dollars invested are a solid start for someone that wants to finish a van build with their choice of interior. The framing, insulation and pre-wire electrical are complete. Furring strips are installed with rivnuts and ready for your choice of paneling. I did not start the plumbing or minor electrical (switches, gauges, outlets), the plan for those was to install as cabinetry and paneling were being installed. The layout is intended for a large rear garage with front driverside kitchen and a bench near the side door. The bed platform is front to rear (I'm 6'2" and can't sleep sideways) and will fit a queen mattress. The van itself is as solid as they come. It's the largest transit they make with the headroom a taller person needs. The Diesel motor has plenty of power, I towed my Jetta from TX to CO when moving. 2015 Ford Transit 350 DRW High Rood Extended, 10360 GVWR 3.2L I5 Diesel engine Power Locks, Windows, Drivers’ seat Keyless Entry remote and keypad Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package Build Electrical: 300 Watt Renogy Premium Solar panels Renogy 40 Watt MPPT 2 each 200 Ah Deep Cycle AGM Batteries Sterling Pro 12v 60 Amp B2B Charger Blue Sea Systems Breakers/Disconnect Ancor Marine Grade 12v wiring Van Batt to House Batt is 1/0 gauge extra flexible welding wire Insulation: Fat Mat sound deadening Thinsulate Acoustic/Thermal SM600L Roll Low e Ez Cool on top of Thinsulate 1” Foam board in floor All furring strips attached with rivnuts Other build items installed: Swivel Passenger Seat ¾” plywood subfloor and wheel well boxes, bed platform Pressure treated plywood inserts under subfloor Maxx Air fan with remote All furring and bed platform attached with rivnuts Not installed Items included in sale: 2000W/3000W surge Inverter/Charger Dometic CFX65DZ 12/110V fridge/freezer Victron BMX-712 Smart Battery Monitor Lagun Table mount 4 sheets of birch plywood for interior paneling or cabinetry Two containers of 12v switches, wiring, connectors, and misc items for interior finish out.
