Seller's Description

Mechanical - 2011 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 with 124,000 miles - Rear-wheel drive - I am the second owner and purchased the vehicle at 83,xxx miles - Previously used as a fleet vehicle in Texas - CarFax available - Service records since my purchase on hand, full B-service completed at 120,000 miles - This is a super solid van, and we have never had any mechanical problems or breakdowns of any kind - All warranty repairs have been completed by certified Mercedes/freightliner mechanics (airbags done at Mercedes-Benz Draper and exhaust system replaced at Warner Vans.) - Since we purchased in 2018 it has had: o Regular oil changes per manufacturer recommendations o Tire rotation/balance and front end-alignment every 5,000 miles (I highly recommend finding a local shop that offers a multi-year unlimited front-end alignment, especially if you are going to be on BLM/forest roads often.) o Front struts replaced o New wheels/tires o Airbag recall -> airbags replaced o Exhaust system recall -> exhaust system replaced including nitrous oxide sensors o Modular roof rack o Exterior ladder o 2” receiver/tow hitch Conversion + High quality conversion with high quality parts. The build was meticulous and done by myself and a friend of mine who builds vans professionally. I employed him to help me for the entire 3-months it took to build the van. I had a hand in the entire build so if you have questions about it please ask! + The cab - Seating to carry 4 people with fold-up bench seat for more room when there are only 1-2 people traveling. - Front seats both have swivels installed - Upgraded audio system with 10.1” capacitive touch-screen, Apple/Android car-play, amplifier, and subwoofer - Backup camera + The Galley - Dometic 2-burner propane stove with 5-lb propane tank - Dometic 35-liter refrigerator - Deep sink with marine grade foot pump and gooseneck faucet - Handmade live-edge sequoia counter tops + The bedroom/dining room - 5 inch Latex mattress that was cut to fit our benches, super comfortable sleeping/sitting surface that should last a lifetime - Hand-sewn removable/washable cushion covers - Dining area can seat 4 people comfortably - Adjustable height and 360 swivel tabletop using the Lagun USA System - Touch controlled reading lights (two) installed above the bed + Power - 250 amp-hour AGM battery bank - 2000-watt inverter - Isolator charger (charges the battery bank from the van’s alternator while driving) - Renogy Adventurer Solar Charge converter with 200w solar mounted to roof rack (enough solar charging that we can use the power we need from the van for charging phones/laptops and run the refrigerator 24/7 without having to move) - 8-ceiling mounted LEDs in two zones, both zones with dimmer switches - 2 touch-operated reading lights in the sleeping/dining area - In-line fuses for major components as well as a blade-style fuse-box for all interior components - Master shut off breaker - Standard 3-prong grounded outlet in the galley (2) - USB receptacle/charger in the dining/sleeping area +Cabinetry/storage - 1/2“ birch plywood cabinets with ¾” Baltic birch face frames - Hand constructed and painted - 40lb magnetic door pulls on the uppers and marine style latches on the lowers - Open storage under the rear bench seats, accessible from the inside and outside of the van - Gas struts on all the upper cabinets - Headliner shelf - Tons of storage space +Comfort - 12v diesel heater under passenger seat, super efficient and warm - MaxxFan two-way roof fan - Quest-Overland blackout window covers for every window +Cons - Had exterior damage to the front right that was repaired before we bought it (CarFax available, clean title). - The right blinker blinks fast and we don't know why, but it has been like that since we bought it in 2018 and hasn't given us any issues. - The rear door lock mechanism doesn't work with the physical key. You can lock/unlock it from the inside and with the key fob. - Sliding door isn't perfectly smooth, but is perfectly functional. - Weather stripping around the doors could stand to be replaced. - RakAttach swing arm and Bernese Mountain Dog not included. The overall quality of this build is going to be hard to beat. Started with Kilmat sound deadening over the entire van interior and Havelock wool insulation. Furring strips were riv-nut bolted to the ribs of the van and all the shiplap/cabinetry are attached to furring strips. The bed/bench frame is angle aluminum and bolted x3 at every joint and bolted to the van frame with the factory bolt-points. It is super solid even on forest/BLM roads. While driving on rough roads we have never had a cabinet or drawer pop open. It is extremely sturdy & tough. Our priority while building this out was our family’s safety. This van has been well-loved and traveled in. It deserves another good home so it can keep up the traveling for many hundreds-of-thousands of miles. I can answer any questions you have about the components of the build, just let me know.
