Seller's Description

The van will be available for sale in early January 2022! Meet Aveline, the beautiful handcrafted 2012 Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van 2500 144” WB. She’s a one-of-a-kind cabin on wheels that comes fully furnished, self-contained, and solar-powered with a full-sized bed, a kitchen, an indoor shower with hot water on demand, a compostable toilet, a dinette, a driver-seat swivel seat, and tons of storage room. Aveline was thoughtfully created by me, a previous van-dweller who has also built two other vans and wanted to focus on making sure this van would be perfect for full-time van life. A lot of love, time, and splinters went into this build and I would really love for her to be passed on to someone who will continue the adventures! SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY, PLEASE! About the vehicle • Make: Mercedes-Benz • Model: Sprinter Van 2500 144” WB • Year: 2012 • Title: Clean title. No liens. • Engine: V6 Diesel • Mileage: Currently at 109,000. As I'm sure you know, this is low for a diesel engine if you take good care of it! A full tank runs for about 450-480 miles on the highway and about 400-450 miles on local • Interior standing height: 75” (6’ 3”). • Vehicle has been regularly serviced and has been very well maintained. She’ll be serviced again before we sell. • Tires: In great condition as we just swapped out our all-season tires for winter tires in anticipation of the Canadian winter! This was done on 11/12/2021 (receipt to prove it). • Body: Take a look at @happysouls.campers to see the conversion process. The van was in top shape when I started the conversion. No rust!!! • Previous owners: 2 (including me). The previous owner used the vehicle for transporting Chinese herbal medicine in NYC. Lightly used and well maintained. • Damages: A few dents and scuffs on the exterior due to regular wear & tear of driving in NYC by the previous owner. Never been in an accident. VIN can be provided. Insulation • The entire van, including doors, has been fully insulated with a mixture of R-tech 1” foam board, R-tech ½” foam board, ECO-roll (the pink and brown stuff). Reflectix was then laid above all the insulation and taped off with foil tape to create a vapor barrier. The ¾” framing wood was then placed over the Reflectix to provide an air gap to maximize the R-value (insulation strength) of the vehicle. • We’re currently driving Aveline throughout Canada and have just hit our first winter storm. We’re still alive and well, so that’s a good sign that the insulation is working. Woohoo. • We’ve hit 6 degrees F so far. Yes, it’s cold in the van during that temperature, because 6 is fucking cold, but hey, it’s definitely worse outside! Electrical • 300 watts of solar energy mounted on the roof. (One 200W panel and one 100W panel). • 30amp solar MPPT charger to trickle charge energy from solar to battery. • One 200-amp hour Renogy AGM battery 12V. • Back-up battery charger using a voltage sensitive relay to charge the battery from the vehicle battery. • One Renogy 2000W (up to 4000W) pure sine wave inverter. • Maxxair fan (7 different speeds with an option for fan mode and exhaust mode). • Euhomy 45 liter refrigerator with Bluetooth controls. • Dimmable lights Shower/Bathroom • Indoor hot-water shower (it is seriously AMAZING to be able to shower inside the van). • CAMCO portable compostable toilet (NEVER USED!) • 20 gallon fresh water tank on the back passenger wheel arch. Saves a ton of space since it’s designed to fit perfectly over the wheel arch. • 20 gallon grey water tank mounted under the vehicle with draining system. • Seaflo 45psi water pump with Seaflo water accumulator to allow water to flow on demand. • EXCEL indoor water heater mounted in the back of the van. • The water pressure in our van is incredible. The 45psi is a little bit of an overkill for what we need, but basically, it can pump water up 3 stories high, which is more than enough for any vehicle. Bedroom • The bed is a full-sized bed that is slightly tailored to fit the shape of the van and to accommodate the shower. There is a little corner cut out but two people can still sleep very comfortably! • It pulls out to 75” long x 54” wide. When the bed pushes in, we use it as a sofa. • All bed linens, pillows, and the down-feather comforter and duvet cover will be included. o These are all 100% cotton and very warm, which has been amazing for the winter season. Kitchen • Suburban cooktop which is inset in the kitchen countertop. • 15x20” Ruvati stainless steel sink. • Swivel faucet that can also be used as an outdoor shower during the warmer months. • USB rechargeable drinking water faucet. • 5 gallon PRIMO drinking water. • 20 gallon propane tank with a 2-way splitter hose that connects to cooker and water heater. • 2 gallon home depot waste water tank under the sink. • Foldable table on hinges for extra countertop room. • All plates, bowls, and utensils included. Pots and pans will not be included. Dining table • Self-engineered swivel table that can be removed while driving. The swivel table design was to ensure that the swivel seat could function without a stationary table getting in the way. • Simple table with one stationary seat and one swivel seat to accommodate two people. • Passenger seat does not swivel but you can easily add this for an extra $300. We did not add it because Aveline only sleeps 2. Extras • Mr. Heater Buddy space heater that runs on a 16oz Coleman propane canister. This little thing heats up Aveline in just 10 minutes. We turn it on right before sleeping and then again in the morning before getting up. • Storage: We’ve got so much storage in the van. 2 cabinets up top above the dinette, 3 cabinets above bed, next to the bed (above the electrical unit), kitchen cabinets, under dining seat, above driver’s and passenger’s seats, and also under the bed. Van interior design • Lightweight woods (cedar and shiplap) were used for the ceilings and walls. The tongue and groove panels used are also lightweight pine wood. This was to minimize the weight of the van because the more weight on the van means the less mileage you get. • I wanted the van to look and feel like a cabin, so there are a lot of beautiful pieces of wood used to make this happen. There are pieces of real walnut, oak, and poplar used to accent the kitchen, bed, window frames, and shower. These are not cheap pieces of wood, and they have all been treated to last in the van. • The red cedar wood does a great job in repelling insects and absorbing moisture without bending/warping/ruining the wood. Double win for van life living! Please message me if you’re interested in viewing. Thank you to those who actually read the entire post – I know it’s long! Look forward to hearing from you.
