Seller's Description
The van was converted about 15,000 miles ago. My wife, baby and I have made multiple trips in it, including Montana twice and up and down the west coast. I work remotely so the van is setup to work very well in a remote environment (cell phone booster has saved me multiple times). The van consistently gets 20-22 mpg (freeway driving around 70-75) fully loaded and depending on driving habits (I’ve gotten as high as 24 mpg for a tank of fuel). We wanted something reliable and that would last. I worked for Mercedes for about 8 years so I sought out this combination of engine/transmission and year range. The engines on these diesel Mercedes vans are known to go well over 300k. We can go off grid for about three days comfortably before we need more water and to drain the tanks (that includes washing baby items that uses a lot of water and showering). The solar system does a great job keeping the batteries fully charged and electricity is never an issue. There is shore power and water hook ups we have only used to validate they are working but have never needed them. I would have no hesitation about jumping in the van and driving coast to coast and enjoying all the adventures in between. Van has 110K, turbo diesel engine 7 speed automatic transmission. We are asking $79,000. Specifics can be found below: Van Original Equipment: 2.1L Turbo Diesel High Roof Passenger van (Windows all the way around).
